@ bas: ik heb niets met deze campagne van doen, geef mijn visie als buitenstaander. ik ben van mening dat ordina uberhaupt weinig onderneemt om (zowel wat betreft corporate- als employer branding) zichzelf te laden. wat jij passeert is het gevoel dat deze campagne acherlaat en de overige middelen die volgens mij net zo sterk onderdeel uitmaken van deze meerlaagse campagne. die zijn wat mij betreft erg goed. en dat is dus volgens mij het doel van deze campagne. wees het er niet mee eens, da's prima, maar probeer niet met non-argumenten (daphne niet inhoudelijk, ontbreken van focus, etc) ordina af te kraken, daarmee laat je een verkeerde indruk (naar nu blijkt) achter.

'trieste reactie', dat is precies wat ik dacht toen je mij als 'trainer employer branding' de les wilde leren. je gefrustreerde opmerkingen over ordina in (al) je laatste artikelen doet me vermoeden dat ordina jou iets heeft misdaan. triest dat je dan 'en plein publique' je gram probeert te halen. en nutteloos om hier met mijn objectieve visie op in te gaan, je ziet niet eens wat ik schrijf. ik kan me prima vinden in de laatste reactie van cornelis overigens.

Dit is nou typisch een voorbeeld van employer branding, wat iets anders is dan werving. Het doel van Ordina is overduidelijk om op het netvlies te komen van een breed publiek. Ik kan me dat goed voorstellen, want buiten het tennistoernooitje in Rosmalen en wat beursberichtjes hier en daar hoor ik nooit wat over ze.

Met deze campagne zet Ordina zichzelf neer op de arbeidsmarkt als een bedrijf dat zich onderscheidt op inhoud. Dat daar niet (direct) allerlei vacatures aan worden gekoppeld is logisch, daar gaat het ook helemaal niet om, al helemaal niet bij een viral. Een viral is nou typisch iets waarbij je geen restricties moet stellen aan een doelgroep omdat dat doorstuurgedrag remt. Bovendien worden vacatures dan juist als een afleidende factor gezien. Het gaat er bij een viral om dat je zoveel mogelijk mensen bereikt (sneeuwbaleffect), de boodschap moet dus simpel en op iedereen van toepassing zijn. Juist niet teveel focus dus! Dat is Ordina m.i. goed gelukt. Helemaal gezien het feit dat ik dit filmpje al van 4 verschillende enthousiaste personen ontvangen heb. Dat Ordina daarnaast zeer doelgericht ict'ers en consultants via andere kanalen aanspreekt, vind ik heel sterk.

Ohhh, no wait a minute... Unlike with Firefox 2.x, when I increase the font size on most websites, the column widths increase too and a page's layout expands well beyond my browser width... rather than the old way where text would enlarge within a fixed column width.

Is there any way to go back to the old method?

I agree with mike, theonly dissapointment I felt when the 'iphone' was introduced (aside from not investing in apple stock) was with their chosen name. the whole 'i' thing has been way overdone, not just by apple, or the tech industry, but on a global scale. I think everybody is sick of it. Apple should not go to the trouble of pursuing this case with cisco, I feel they were on the right track changing the name 'iTV' to 'apple logo tv'. I think it would have been a cool thing to do the same thing with the iphone and replace the 'i' with an apple logo. It's sorta like prince! "the phone formally known as iPhone" haha, could work?

My wife reads your blog and shares various posts with me. Because one of our friends has read 'The Shack' and highly recommends it, my wife showed me your review.

I have a question about this passage from your post (I apologize if the quoting style is incorrect):

'Later Young has Jesus explain what mutual submission really looks like "That's the beauty you see in my relationship with Abba and Sarayu. We are indeed submitted to one another and have always been so and always will be. Papa is as much submitted to me as I to him, or Sarayu to me, or Papa to her. Submission is not about authority and it is not about obedience; it is all about relationships of love and respect. In fact, we are submitted to you in the same way."'

I think I understand what Young means when he has Jesus explain mutual submission. What I don't understand is what Young means when he has Jesus say, "we are submitted to you [humans] in the same way." Do you think Young means that humans and God are equal in authority, or something completely different?

I could be reading my own view (and current issues with God I'm working on) into that quote, which is something like this: God has authority over humans, even though humans are his friends--and humans should submit (or, perhaps a better word is surrender) to His authority or will because He knows what is better for us than we do.

I know I have several(if not many) messed up ideas about God--and I'm working on trying to figure out the lies I'm believing about God and getting the truth to travel from my head to my heart. From your review, it appears that 'The Shack' will help me in getting at the truth about God.

I think my definition of submission would be something like “coming under to support,” which I think I’m getting from a sermon I heard in which a pastor was talking about the famous (or perhaps infamous) passage from Ephesians 5:21-33. The pastor said that in the Greek, the meaning of submit was something like “coming under to support,” and he also mentioned that, in the Greek, there is no verb ‘submit’ in v. 22, so that the literal translation would be something like “Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ, and for an example, look at wives and husbands.” He also said that in a previous series he went through the Greek in more detail, but I haven’t gone back to find that message yet. But, I digress.

I completely agree that “while God’s essence is greater than us, he shares his authority with us.” I think it’s somewhat scary how much authority He does give us, although it’s also an awesome privilege.

I think I get a lot, if not all, of my concept of “surrender” from steps 1, 2, and 3 of the 12 steps of recovery. My will isn’t very good at running my life, so I have to surrender my will for God’s will, because He actually knows how to run my life. I understand that God wants to make us into “little Christs” as Dallas Willard says in one of his talks in ‘Knowledge of Christ in Today’s World’ (which I highly recommend to anyone, and I think they are sold on amazon). Willard says in one of those talks that the process by which we become little Christs is by “the transformation of the will, or as I call it in the book, the renovation of the heart.” So that is where my concept of “surrender” is coming from.

Biblically, I would say that my concept of “surrender” would be found in these three quotes:

John 4:31-34 “Meanwhile his disciples urged him, "Rabbi, eat something." But he said to them, "I have food to eat that you know nothing about." Then his disciples said to each other, "Could someone have brought him food?" "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.”

John 5:19-20 "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these.”

Luke 22: 39-42 “Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation." He withdrew about a stone's throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done."

I think that those three passages illustrate my concept of “surrender,” in which Jesus is trying to do the Father’s will. I don’t think I’m taking the quotes out of context, or reading into the quotes what I want them to say. It is possible that I’m misinterpreting them, though—my wife would know, since she introduced me to hermeneutics.

I totally agree that God wants us to love and delight in Him, and that He wants strong wills for good. I have a tough time loving God and delighting in Him for who He is, rather than all the cool stuff He can do for me. But I’m working on that—and likely will be for the rest of my life. I’m not sure that my concept of “surrender” would lead to an inert will, because I would be using my will to figure out what God wants me to do, think, etc. Perhaps that makes me sort of like a robot, though—although I think God would still want me to ask for His input on decisions instead of just ignoring Him.

I suppose, though, that my concept of “surrender” also ties into my concept of “dependence” on God. I think that when I start to use my will apart from God, then I start to lose my dependence on Him, even if I’m doing good, non-sinful things. So, perhaps through my concept of “surrender” I stay dependent on God.

Jag var kanske lite snabb med att skriva att den inte fungerade men att annonsera i DI och ett par utomhusannonser hjälper väl inte till 100 % när man vill nå ut till nya och gamla kunder. Medelsvensson som vill ha ett villalarm läser inte DI. Jag gör inte ivarjefall. Securitas är tex ett väldigt välkänt och etablerat namn i bevakningsbranschen och behöver ingen närmare presentation. Men om man då tar ett nytt namn som G4S som väldigt få känner till så behöver man lägga lite pengar på reklamen så att den syns på fler ställe. Menade inte att det var något fel på reklamen utan att den borde synts på fler ställen.

We do have a sauce we use on our french fries and our macaroni and potato salad. It's made with Hellmans and numerous other things. I also put it on my burgers sometimes.

I got an idea! Let's wait till we have 25 seconds left on the clock and call a time out. Then run a fake field goal play so we can gain a yard and then just kick a field goal anyway.... Maybe Cutler should have been brought into the loop as to why Plumber was benched, to many bad plays and to many picks... Well, I'd like to apologize for being overly flip back there in the 2nd comment -- I was a bit uncivil. To quote another commenter, this bike probably isn't ideal for everyone, but it probably is ideal for *someone*, which is a classic bit of long-tail economic thinking.

Biking may strengthen your knees if they are already healthy, but if you have damaged cruciate ligaments or other joint problems (cartilage etc.) it doesn't help.

I see an increasing number of electric-assist bikes at local shops, and this means there is a market, which means R&D investment. The rule of thumb is that the least polluting technology usually ends up being cheaper in the long run, which is a good inducement to pursue a "cradle to cradle" manufacturing policy, esp. as relates to the batteries; if we can get high enough energy density in some sort of recyclable cell, possibly derived from automotive research, that'd be great.

If we want to get more young people on them, we need a zeitgeisty marriage of style and aesthetics - the retro cruiser look doesn't exactly work there...I'd love to see Biomega do a take on this, an MN-style body with an enclosed shaft drive.

It's funny that Umbra is claiming to be so environmentally friendly with its design, but how about the amount of packaging they use? And it's not only the packaging obviously used for marketing purposes, but the packaging they use to ship item to the retailer. I've personally seen 2' x 2' x 3'-6" box only holding a single toilet paper stand and the rest of it plastics air pocket cushions. Oh, and then there is the box within a box within a box method of packaging they are so famous for. So, why don't they also think about that instead of "corn oil" based garbage cans (which, by the way isn't as environmentally friendly as it's cracked up to be).

Riana and her family find hardship when the state does not get the bills paid. There is also those that work in the institutions that are not being paid. I'm thinking particularly of the thousands of low wage nursing home staff that have to take a pay cut until the institution is paid by the government. The back log of medicaid payments effect the over all economy and many many lives.

RB has spent the last few years trying to clean up the last twenty six of state government. Who is being hired? State Government payrolls are down....so much so that some state workers are doing the jobs of two or more.... I think the electorate will vote for RB Why? because getting the barn door open and cleaning up what falls from the barn (26+++ feet of dung) is alot of hard work. And JB was very much in the thick of it when the barn was filling.

An elected official should expect media. The Governorship is no different. Everyone loves the elected official in the beginning, but enough time lapses and this guy did not quite get what he was after and so on and so forth.....What is reasonable for a society? Health care for the children, elderly, working poor... health insurance... Schools, decent roads, jobs........ Balancing a budget is a difficult task as anyone paying bills and keeping a family afloat will atest to. Make that a budget of billions of dollars and add a few million families all with issues and concerns and ideas..... The Govenor was well informed of the budget woes the state was in before he was elected and he also had to have known or been familiar with Illinois politics, coruption and all... Reporters report on what they see, hear, smell...most do their job with integrety others go for the sensation. Is it fair? Maybe or maybe not. An election year always brings out the sensation. Is the Govenor being unfairly targeted? He is the Govenor and has been the Govenor for four years, expect the ridicule and the criticisms. Its healthy government.

Even though I am a lifelong Democrat and flaming liberal, I would have considered voting for Kirk for either Senate or Gov. I considered him a dedicated, intelligent, honest and experience public servant. That changed when he came out on June 12 in favor or increasing the penalty for first time possessors -- not distributors -- of high-strength marijuana to 25 years in jail. First of all, what in the world is he doing even thinking about marijuana possession penalties? He is a US Congressman, not a state legislator. Secondly, if marijuana laws are going to be discussed, the debate should be over how to de-criminalize and tax the largest cash crop in Illinois and America. There would be no deficit at any level of government if marijuana were regulated and taxed. In the same vein, the only good that will come out of the cutbacks in funding for the Dept. of Corrections is that first time offenders and other victimless drug crimes will be released and/or not prosecuted in the first place. When will people wake up and realize that all the billions spent on drug interdiction will not prevent even one person from going out and getting the drug of their choice this evening. We are paroling serious offenders -- like the mass murderer in SC -- because over 80% of the people in jail are their for drug crimes. The anti-drug laws are successful in one respect: they keep drugs illegal and therefore keep the price artificially high. It is not drugs, but illegal drugs, which are warping all aspects of our society, from the court system, police enforcement, gang income, gun purchases, etc.

Mark Kirk is wasting our time.

Hmmm...it sounds good in theory but I am not sure if it would work in practice unless the evangelist had real authority to cut through the shit, apply a little credit and do whatever it takes to make customers happy again.

It reminds of that initiative years ago for London Underground to be more responsive and informative in the case of delays. If only they would they would tell us why we are stuck in a tunnel, the argument would go, at least we would feel that we were in the loop and not being neglected. In the end it turned out that the announcements only made people even angrier than before - mainly because the drivers were as badly informed as the passengers in a lot of cases and could only ever be fairly vague which really doesnt help that much.

For something like this to work you would need to treat this really seriously. I am always surprised that mobile companies dont do this more.

Wow, Paul, I am so glad I found this post! When I first discovered @PredFans I really didn't know what to make of it (I really didn't understand how it worked). Then when I followed and you followed me back I finally got it after seeing my tweets reposted there. Howevah, the very problem you mentioned troubled me: the idea of clogging up my feed with all my @PredFans tweets, which appear twice in my tweetstream. I literally have no one else who follows me aside from you guys who gives a hoot about the Predators and I really didn't want to bore them with a conversation they most likely wouldn't care to follow.

But now I know about the DM method to eliminate the main feed inclusion of my @PredFans tweets. BRILLIANT!

This also saves me from bugging you personally aver the issue, which I was just about ready to do.

You might want to think about creating some kind of auto or otherwise standard direct message to new members of the Preds or Titans fans' Twitter groups explaining these options.

You're right, I'm no expert on basketball but I know enough that championships are not won with players with no respect for their teammates. I know enough that championships are won through teamwork and PRACTICE ( maybe you remember the great Celtics teams with Russell, Knick teams with Reed, Frazier etc or the Bulls teams with Jordan and Pippen )The cornrows and baggy pants don't bother me....what bothers me is Iverson's total inability to play within a offensive or defensive system.And, quite frankly, his attitude towards playing within a team concept. I believe the direct quote was "Now ,how is me paracticing going to make my teammates better". If that doesn't concern you, maybe you don't know basketball like you think you know basketball. What you seem to forget is that great TEAMS win championships, not great individual players. So keep your head in the sand ....by the way, although the Sixers still need lot's of help, ask yourself this question ... is the Sixers record better or worse without Iverson ? and Is the Nuggets record better with or with Iverson ?

If you think leading the league in steals proves that you are a good defensive player, you are dead wrong and any coach in College or the NBA would tell you that. I don't think AI "sucks". He is a tremendous INDIVIDUAL player that has never learned to play within a TEAM concept. I have never seen AI give anything but 100% on the court but that alone doesn't win championships. If being a scoring champ was all that mattered , Wilt Chamberlain would have a couple of hands full of championship rings. It wasn't until Wilt used his teammates ( he led the league in assists the year the Sixers won a championship with him ), that he got his ring. By the way, you never answered my question.... Is the Nuggets record better with or without Iverson ? And , is the Sixers record better with or without Iverson ?

You've got to stop drinking the Kool-Aid.......the fact is the Sixers were not drawing fans or selling out with Iverson. The fact is that the Sixers ( while still not exactly a powerhouse ) are a much more competetive team than they were with Iverson. By the way, thanks for Andre Miller, the man can play the game. Joe Smith's contract expires at the end of the year and that will free up some cap space plus the Sixers have a couple of first round draft picks this year. I'd say the Sixers are looking up and I bet you won't be singing AI's praises when Denver stays around .500 ball for the next few years.

Anyway, Best of luck - I too have weight to loose (much more than twenty pounds unfortunately) I gained waaaaaaaaaaay too much my first pregnancy, and never worked it off. I am starting to feel motivated though, as our lives are starting to turn for the better. I really want to loose some weight and be more confident in myself before my husband gets out of Basic Training and Tech School in November. I know that I won't have all the 100ish pounds off, but even 20 or 30 will give me a great boost!
