I'm sure it's great on an iPhone but not on anything else.

Re: Forced Invites Get Shutdown

Absolutely, I utterly detest the way applications try to market themselves. The big problem is that many non-technical or not very computer literate users end up sending all sorts of invites they probably don't want to send, because they don't realise they have to actively de-select and skip the process.

The whole invite process should be stopped. What should be improved is the application library, and there should be an 'application' application which allows you to summarise all the apps (you choose) and display a link on your profile, with a review and rating facility. If others were interested they could easily see which apps you use and what you think of them.

Re: Facebook Enables SMS Updates for Facebook Pages

You can activate Facebook mobile with a mobile on the Virgin network. Just put in your number and select 'O2' as the network and it activates. You can only receive texts though, not send. Facebook mobile will turn off every 30 days or so (presumably because you can't send any texts so it thinks you are inactive) so you'll need to activate it again.

Re: Facebook Enables SMS Updates for Facebook Pages

The Facebook app 'selective Twitter status' allows you to choose which tweets update your Facebbok status using the #fb hash tag.

Re: Jim Wolff, man, Just realised Google Earth has a browser plugin...

That URL doesn't seem to work but I'm sure I'll find it!

Re: Jim Wolff, man, Just realised Google Earth has a browser plugin...

Ooops, just saw the comment above. By the way, I like the design but your comments aren't readable in Firefox (that's how I didn't see the comment above)!

Screenshot: http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/284/2505667...
