wow ... I super like this page, Colby!!!

*SIGH* I'm so glad Xylic is back ... I didn't realize how much I had missed him! Is it me, or has his hair gotten a leetle longer? Anyway ... he's wonderful. :-)

Before I read these comments, I was going to leave a comment complimenting you on your skillful coloring and use of perspective, Colby ... I really really like Zedwig in the last panel. He makes a very swashbuckling outfit look austere - and I like the way you drew the cut of the fabric moving with his stride.

I, personally, love the "Fang! Vengeance!" ("Hey ... wait! Come back! You're not standing still to be killed! Hello?") Hehe ... oh, it makes me laugh.

Ooooh ... Fang seems a little more self-possessed in that panel. Can't wait to see the "real thing"! :-) Thanks for all your amazing work, Colby!

It took me 24 hours to even begin to word a reaction to this awesome page ...
And all I came up with was "Beautiful."
I'm with everyone else, really - love the franticly unkempt appearance of Fang as soon as he thinks he's alone, love the suave strength of Sangwine's posture, love the "Oh, you done it now!" look in Bactine's eyes. And yes, love how they are operating together now. That's beautiful, too.

ooh ... good point about Zedwig laying Bactine next to Sangwine to maybe heal him? He does place her hand very carefully on Sangwine's chest. I also want to know what's going on with Sangwine's suddenly spotless shirt. LOL. So many theories!

I don't remember if I have read all of Fromage yet, but there's a lot in it about the earring and about Zedwig and Fang's relationship. If I understand correctly, the earring is simply a magnifier - there's no magic spell that forces Zedwig to do anything, it's just that Fang's amplified power overwhelms him. And then that combined with their unusual relationship - they absorb more of each other's personalities/characters every time their powers are magnified together, which is why Zedwig did what Fang wanted more easily and why Fang was so gentle with Zedwig. So again, if I understand all that correctly, then I have two thoughts about these last few pages: the earring isn't being "deactivated" ... it's just that Zedwig is beginning to withstand Fang's magnified power. Also, when Zedwig's and Bactine's powers were combined to heal him, they absorbed a lot of each other... now he has certain characteristics of Bactine's (darker eyes, brushing his hair out of his face, "gumption") and she has characteristics of his (weariness/age, silver hair, and ... holy crap, wait a minute, we can't see their ears)!

Oooohhh ...
zees eez so beautiful! The entire page ... but definitely the first panel. We've seen Bactine and Sangwine together before, even (rarely) looking peaceful, but now they look more ... I don't know the word ... "uplifted"? Like they've reached an entirely new plane of destiny/purpose/fulfillment. Hmm. I'm not doing very well at explaining myself. I'll just stick with "amazing job, Colby -- I didn't know I could be any more impressed with your skills than I already was."
And if anyone else can think of the word I wanted to think of, please remind me! LOL.

slightly reminiscent of another angsty fantasy character, although on the other side of that protagonist/antagonist coin ...
and rats -- I was hoping that Bactine had gotten his earring. Guess it was too much to hope for. Can't wait for the next page! (and the page after that, and the page after that ...)

I LOVE Al'bert's charm ... and the verbal thrust-and-parry in panels 7-9.

that is possibly the best Halloween comic strip I have ever seen ... two favorites combined to make Princess Bride Lint! (or a Linty Princess Bride? hmmm.) LOL!

love the dialogue in this scene!! I also like the subtle nuances of their relationship that you manage to fit in so dexterously. :-)

Ah, the drama!! I am so glad you're back, Colby; I've been looking forward to Lint's continuation for forever, it feels like! ;-) And this page *definitely* does not disappoint. I love Fang's concern for Zedwig ... oh, the angst in his poor, twisted heart! And isn't it just Bactine's luck to have been captured so conveniently when Fang is desperate for a healer ... and she's incarcerated with someone who knows her abilities and would be more than willing to use that to get back in Fang's good graces ...

I especially like Xylic's line ... "If you didn't have enough motivation before, maybe you do now." Talk about intense ... is that solely because of his feelings for Bactine, or is he getting into this whole revolution thing, too? If he is, that could be an interesting character development for plot twists later on *coughprincexyliccough*
