This is an important overview of peak oil and the impact it will have on all our lives. While the mainstream media has begun to acknowledge that the world can't pump much more oil, there is much less attention paid to the links between oil production and the price of food and consumer products and the value of the dollar (read: inflation). We are beginning to see real impacts on the most vulnerable in our society, and that includes a disproportionate number of African Americans. We cover some of these issues at blackEnergy, and we promote low-carbon living with nearly 1000 energy efficient products, but it often feels like a drop in the bucket.
