Although, to support Giannii's comment, you can most definitely add your Disqus information into your Lijit content. It's just not necessary to see the comment integration.

Thanks for the post Giannii!

Believe it or not Jake, the comment integration just works. We're using the Disqus API and therefore, you don't even need to add your Disqus information into your Lijit profile to see comments in your search results.

Morgan, thanks for your help in explaining our value. I love it when Lijit users beat me to the punch...and do a much better job.

in Blissdom, here we come! on The Lijit Blog
Assertagirl, happy birthday! I'm excited to see you and find out why you took Lijit off your blog. :(

Dawn, sorry for forgetting you but I didn't see you on the Blissdom blogroll. I've updated the post accordingly and am most intrigued to see what sort of swag you have to offer...especially after reading your most recent post.

Brett, awesome post. From what I've seen, those that distinguish themselves as rock stars do so by making the decision to put more value in quality than quantity. I *could* tweet all day long, but then when would I get any work done?

in How do YOU prepare for a conference? on GoodWordEditing.com
Mark,

We'd love to talk about how Lijit can help you! Please stop by our booth (#330) and say hi.

Also, although we're in a little different boat as exhibitors, we get ready for shows like this by stocking up on our sleep and trying to stay as healthy as possible.

See you this weekend!

in Blog World Expo speakers are Lijit! on The Lijit Blog
Thanks for the reminder Wendy, but I left Micah off the list because he's one of us. I was talking about "external" blog publishers...

Besides, I get to hear Micah speak every day.

Thanks for rubbing it in that you're on vacation and we're not. However, I can't stay mad for long looking at the pics of Lucas on his first trip out of the country. Safe travels on your way home and I can't wait to see your tan back at the office!

Thanks for playing Daniel. I love the pictures of your dogs and Lucas, but must ask about your lovely wife. Did she not give you permission to use her image on your blog? Smart lady.

Oh, and I think you're talented (and sometimes funny) too!

Thanks for the tips Fraser. I feel that I've fallen into a bit of a blogging rut and this post came at just the right time.

Fraser You're welcome. Looking forward to more posts from you. You'd think with all of the writing that you're doing in other areas of your life (how goes that stream?) you'd be in the writing groove for blogging.

Micah, I agree with you about the similarities between start-ups and successful kitchens. All of your points are relevant but I especially enjoy the third one. I've worked in a few kitchens in my time and earned a reputation for being mean. However, when you are in the trenches and trying to get plates out on time and looking good, you don't have time to beat around the bush. You have to make sure you are being heard without any worry about how someone is going to react to what is being said. I'm still trying to transition that skill into my startup life, but you are proving helpful in that respect.

in Simple Permalink Trick on Andrew Hyde
Andrew, I just started my personal blog and am learning about Wordpress through a lot of trial and error. After publishing my second post, I saw the ugly permalink (?p=6) and immediately remembered this post you wrote. You helped me out and in the process, I learned how to rewrite some .htaccess files. While I'm not exactly sure what that means, I did it and now have beautiful permalinks. Thanks dude!
