in Why am I getting an iPhone? on Colin Devroe
JC: Objectivity is relative in this case I think. And - recently Apple announced through their demo video that iPhone can read Word and Excel docs (presumably Pages and Keynote docs too), as well as PDF. So as far as my personal business matters are concerned - between all of the open web apps available through Google, etc. I'm definitely covered.

Zach: Lets hope, being that I don't have much to compare them to, AT&T; will suffice for my usage. And I do agree with you that the next-gen iPhone will probably be much better than this one - but I think that is far enough down to the road to be worth the purchase now.

Elliot Cable: Thanks for the link, but as far as I can tell my domain checks out? Do you find the same?

in Problems with LiveJournal and OpenID on Colin Devroe
Brandice: The problem isn't not being able to comment at all, the problem is that I want to use OpenID to do so. If you'll notice in the video, my friend indeed does have anonymous commenting enabled.

If, in fact, you're right - then LiveJournal should definitely change that policy because using OpenID is hardly an anonymous comments. It is the opposite!!

in Are you a “fanboy”? on Colin Devroe
Josue: Exactly. And I am going to strive to do the same even more now.

Zach: Although you are speaking about a very specific case here - your point is well taken and was actually stated by Oyvind, Jon, and Shane already - just not in such specific terms.

Shane: Excellent overview of your thoughts! I can't even tell you how much I think your thoughts are right on too. I've seen many people that fit each specific scenario too.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this comment and I look forward to your post.

Bryan Culver: I think I understand a bit better now. Perhaps the best thing to do, in that case, is change the topic of conversation to something that both people find interesting?

Oyvind: Very well said, and I completely agree.

Jon Christopher: Good advice. I've found good information in the oddest of places - so never discount the fanboy for having good ideas now and then!

Thanks for your comments so far.

Chris: Sorry it has taken so long for me to respond. Skitch!

Thanks for your kind words and for stopping by. "Mimicry mode" is an interesting thought. Playing the game from behind, or at least thinking you are, really ends up making everything boring. Reminds me of a lot of corporate America.

Wow, this response has been overwhelming everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by and for giving Skitch a spin. I think I am caught up. I ran out initially but the plasq team hooked me up with oodles of more invites. So, if you'd like to try skitch, just ask!

Thanks again for stopping by!

It appears you have no video public on Viddler. I do not think this error has anything to do with Viddler not functioning properly.

Thanks to the next wave of all of you that have asked for invites. All of you should have received them into your inboxes by now. I'm trying to keep up!

Thanks everyone that has asked so far. I think I'm keeping up with the invites. Please blog about Skitch today, especially if you like what you see in the application. Also, feel free to embed the movie onto your own site!

in My thoughts on the WWDC Keynote on Colin Devroe
Luke: Notice I didn't mention anything about hardware, since I believe the only hardware that should be released at WWDC should be professional grade products like the Mac Pro or the like.

Also, I don't think we'll see any new features for Leopard between now and October. Apple stated that the version being given out at the conference was "feature complete" and they'd have to be feature locked now to ensure that all of the feedback regarding bugs between now and October is based on the same system and not one with new features. This isn't to say that the features within Leopard won't receive new things (like Stacks getting another view as an example).

I wasn't trying to be cool. Haha.
