Our mokugift eTrees are similar to e-cards, but unlike e-cards, eTrees are fun online gifts that recipients can display year-round on an online island at mokugift.com as well as on their social network profiles and blogs. For every eTree purchased, mokugift plants a tree in the real world.

I could set up Constant Chatter with some free eTrees if you would like, just email me.

Regards,
Hans

Re: Yahoo’s Open Strategy adds Picnik, Mint.com, and others

Hi Anthony,

Thank you for being one of the few journalists that spent the time to look at each app instead of copying from other blogs/articles. Your description of mokugift is the most accurate and relevant. Thank you for the quality journalism. I'd like to hear your thoughts about mokugift's GreenLifestyle app.

...H

Re: Help me fill in the blanks: iPhone platform versus Facebook platform

rows:
easy payment experience for consumers (ie: one click)
natural native gestures / UI
location information availability
always with you
offline availability

Re: 20 Ways to Save the Rainforest from Your Computer

Thanks for the mention Kiwi Meg! April 22nd is Earth Day. Mokugift enables ordinary people to plant a tree online for $1. Each tree absorbs an average of 26 pounds of carbon dioxide per year for it life. That more than cover the carbon footprint of an ecard. That is a net increase in trees. Whereas saving rainforest is great but does not lead to a net increase in trees.

At $1 per tree, mokugift is often cheaper than paper based greeting cards

fun fact: moku means 'tree' in Japanese and 'island' in Hawaiian.

Re: iPhone App Plants Real Trees

Hi Jaymi,

Thanks for blogging about us! It is great that people really get the point that the app is supposed to be simple. It is a minimalist approach. There are a few things we are thinking of adding to the app.

Thanks,

Hans

mokugift - the makers of A Real Tree.

Re: iPhone App Plants Real Trees

Hi Jaymi,

Today we are announcing our partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme:

http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/200812160...>

Take care,

Hans

mokugift - the makers of A Real Tree
