LA scored both goals in regulation. I wouldn't brag too much on Pachuca. LA is one of the worst teams in the MLS. Both of our "professional" leagues suck anyway.

I only watched the highlights and I'm frustrated. The US team is just not very good. The own goal by Onyewu, dear god, was he that tired that he couldn't avoid running onto that ball. Howard must have wanted to strangle him after he saved that one on one.
Let's keep the streak alive what are we like 0-5 since copa america. New coach anyone.

I'm not a doubter ******* without cause. I want our team to win, they just continue to disappoint.
Did you watch the last world cup? We tied italy b/c of a lucky own goal, and got our ***** whipped by Ghana. Copa America was an embarrassment. Now we're supposed to be happy we scored 2 on Brazil and gave up 4? at Home no less. Mexico is the only decent team we play well against. face the facts. Our A-squad is a C-squad against the elite national teams.

Mike I hope you're right. Let's watch the games and see if they can prove it against some quality opponents. I think our team is overrated by fifa and I bought into it. The fact is our top players are not sought out by the superclubs, Man U, AC Milan, Barca, Real Madrid etc. Why not? In my opinion, b/c they are not as good as the players on those teams. We don't have any outstanding players on the world stage, we have solid players. Please don't bring up Beasley, and I know we have some players in the EPL, Dempsey is impressive, but overall these are just solid professionals.
Disservice to US soccer- I expect to watch the US win a world cup. I'm not satified with winning the gold cup, it's nice but c'mon. I want to watch the US send England, Germany, France home crying in the next world cup.

i disagree, it sucks for two goals to be scored on penelties but those were clumsy plays by the defenders. neither one looked like a dive to me.

flint, I don't even like the MLS, but the US(yanks) has done about as well as the english in the last few world cups. Yes the EPL is far superior to MLS but its been around for what 100 years. Soccer is a second tier sport in our country and we still feild a team thats competitive with England's team. I don't dispute your comment that our league has a long way to come.

Polish goal was not offside at the time of the shot and deflection.
Austria did not deserve a bail out in this game, even though the penelty was very well taken. The game was Austria's to win with all of those chances yet they couldn't score, I don't like such a ticky tack penelty given in the 90th minute.

Football is a game of luck in some part but a team must take advantage of lucky situations that arise in a game. With that said Italy deserved this win and to advance.
The penalty and red card was a no brainer for the ref, the defender gave him no choice, Toni brought the ball down then shielded the defender who had no play on the ball. Allowing the shot and keeping the teams level at 11 would have been the right desicion- Toni probably would have shot wide to the left like he did all game.
Henri is fast as hell and creates shots but why does he always mishit the ball he's constantly dinking these sissy rollers to the keeper. Ribery injury was bad luck not a dirty play.
I'm a fan of football, no need to spread hate b/c your team loses. I'm the one who should be angry I'm a US fan and our team never wins Shhit. Peace- great tournament so far, thanks for the vids

I think your right that it is ten times more difficult to qualify in europe or south america. But I think our team would be a lot better if we had to compete on a regular basis will quality sides instead of always having to play the shitty teams in concacaf to qualify for the worldcup. And when we do get to compete in quality tournaments like copa america Bradley sends a young B team and we get embarassed. I don't see US soccer going anywhere if we continue to play most our games against CONCACAF in qualifying and the Gold cup which is meaningless.
