I'm online everyday, most of the day, through my cell phone, which limits the amount of full interaction on the actual site for me. Let's not get started on my Scrabulous addiction!
I'd say I'm actually somewhere in the region of 93% addicted, especially if you'd count in group administering and activity.
The 5 different attributes which the app uses are a little vague. Entering gender and being a part of a network is something that everyone ought to do anyway. Having a popular wall is mainly an indication of how addicted your friends are. I can understand the profile editing, and the notes (although I fetch my notes from my blog). There really should be more contributing attributes for this app to work.

Re: Tower Blox Brings More Fun to Facebook

Added Tower Bloxx after reading your post and thank you very much, I'm ridiculously addicted to it now... =)

Re: When is a Facebook Really a MySpace?

To answer the title question:
There's a reason why I stopped using MySpace, and the when Facebook gets to this point, I'll move on again: load time/page behavior in hand-held devices.

As our world become more and more mobile, accessing social networking sites from our mobile devices is going to be more important. MySpace only has a mobile version on select devices/operators, Facebook has a mobile site that works for pretty much all.

Now take your mobile device/pocket computer/internet tablet and open up the non-mobile MySpace and Facebook.
With devices with 20mb to 128mb of RAM, Facebook works kinda to pretty good, MySpace works excruciatingly slow to browser crashing.
And that's BEFORE I've logged in!

I do have to agree with Intan and the comment above to say that aside from the nuisance of application spam, the cluttered ugly profiles are the one similarity the two have in common. I'm tired of spending an hour on each profile page looking for one's Walk!
That been said, it's A LOT easier for Joe SubAverage to control the look of their Facebook profile than their MySpace profile.

When will Facebook really be a MySpace?
Once you learn how to block applications and make your friends see what a mess their profiles are, NEVER!

Re: N800 Needs an Update

I've been looking to buy the N800 (along with the bluetooth keyboard) to serve as my primary blogging tool, but the lack of critical software for such use, as you just mentioned in your post, is what's keeping me from buying it. Instead, I uphold 5 blogs solely from my N95 (the original one with the miserable RAM...), Not an easy task, really, but I don't own a computer or laptop right now, and probably won't for several months. I'm on the move all the time and do most of my blogging away from home, during work, on the bus, in bars, and whatnot...
Is there an easier way of using the N95 to (fully) blog (with images from Twango) on Wordpress.com, rather than adding the keyboard and the N800 to the set up?

Re: Nokia N810 After The Dust Has Settled

Added to post-Christmas shopping list! Just one thought: as the N810 is only a (welcome) upgrade to the N800, how long until the next generation of Nokia's Internet Tablets hit the shelves? The prospect of a next gen tablet was what kept me from buying the N800, and now I'm just worried that Nokia will release the next gen tablet within 6 months or so, just like with the N95 and the N95 8GB/N95-3... Any possibility of this happening or should I just buy the N810 and stop worrying?

Re: Nokia Maps Needs An Update

I use Nokia Maps several times a week, getting kinda fond of it('s theoretical possibilities). I agree to pretty much every point above, especially one:
The "search nearby" feature is great in theory, but, just as you noted, "nearby" seems to be a very loose term.
The information present is also grossly outdated and incomplete: The other day I was looking for the nearest supermarket to me in Espoo and I was directed between 43 and 596 km away. (the nearest store was a km away). I get offered bars and clubs that haven't existed in 4 years. But worst of all, last month I spent the weekend in Tampere, Finland and really would have needed to know where the nearest supermarket was. Again, off the mark by a long shot, but the worst thing was, THE SEARCH NEARBY MENU WAS COMPLETELY IN GERMAN!

Nokia, when are we going to see updated maps and information (tired of seemingly driving through fields)? Let's see those billions of dollars spent on nav companies not go to waste, please!

And thanks Ricky for pointing out the problems! Now let's hope the right people at Nokia read this great post!

Re: I’m Back In Love With ShoZu

I've installed and uninstalled Shozu three times before on the N95 (classic), because, well, I had the same gripes about it as you've been talking about.
Just once again installed the same app which for all sakes and purposes practically crippled my phone. Now, IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM! Just as it's intended.
What's changed? Thank you Nokia for giving us the love of Demand Paging on the N95!

Re: Nokia: Go Play (With What?)

"Ovi's door is still closed..."
Love that line!
But yeah, this waiting is starting to get worrying.
