How many more people are going to fall for this fiction that Ron Paul is popular on the Internet? This is all fake, phoney, a sham, a scam, every kind of hoax it can be. The whole thing is powered by one mid-30's Las Vegas tech-investment millionaire name of Matt Abar, who has funded a bunch of third-world surfers for hire to rig social news and jam polls - see the many kinds of fraud with evidence here: http://www.malagent.com/?p=608. In the real world, the main reaction to Ron Paul is resentment and a backlash against the attempt to hijack an election.

Really, the best medicine? Ignore him, and ignore the whole thing. We saw the same thing happen with Dean and Perot before, this is just this season's nutty fruitcake.

Here we have the least popular president in history closing out an 8-year run. He's a white, male, Republican, Conservative, Christian from Texas. So what better solution than to hype the next candidate, who is also a white, male, Republican, Conservative, Christian from Texas?

George Bush rode into office with a lot of online flamers who claimed to be the poor, scrappy underdogs while actually being the voice of the mainstream, too. How dumb do we have to be to fall for it every four years?

Hi, I am just one of the irritated people who might otherwise be sympathetic to the Ron Paul message.

Pardon me for naming what I am about to name. When I say "Internet terrorism", I tried to think about a better way to put it for days, and reluctantly find myself lacking a better name for what it is. I am flabbergasted by not having seen anything like this before.

I was at the least, indifferent and undecided to all candidates before. I now hate Ron Paul with every fiber of my being, and 100% of the reason why is because I work online and have to put up with the campaign of Internet terrorism perpetrated by his supporters - for going on six months, now. Merry Christmas.

It's a little late to do anything about it now. RP went past "credible", through "dubious", "unlikely", and "slim", to "snowball's chance in a very hot place", all in the space of a few months, thanks to the zealots. We now no more dare to allow RP to get elected than we dare give Al Quaeda control of the White House. If we vote for Ron Paul, we will send the message that spam, harassment, and threats work and are a viable way to get your candidate into office.

Sadly, the monopolization of all online discussion by the fanatics ensure that they have no source of reality left except to get a contact buzz off of each other's mania, and so all that I - or the original blog author - can say and do won't be heard by the people who need to hear it.

The best hope we have is that we can have the Internet back some time around 2010, after the last RonPaulian has shivered through the withdrawals.

My first time seeing your site, and you seem like you're starting out, so: I used to do the same thing you're doing here. And then I figured out that return-fire is what the trolls feed on. A site actually *named* "Linux-hater" calls for little else but a light-hearted laugh whenever it comes off, and a jaunty dismissal.

Then we have "Why Desktop Linux Sucks, and What We Can Do About It" - I'm sorry to hear that such a ludicrous travesty was made out of something called "Linuxfest". But anyway, Bryan Lunduke is yet another jerk, by virtue of giving a talk with a title like that.

The only thing Linux is "doing wrong" is not being a globe-conquering corporate monopoly. If it was one, it would have millions of dollars to spin marketing and, through the magic of group-think, Linux on the desktop would *be* the standard, against which other systems fail to measure up.

People who say Linux sucks because it isn't like Windows are saying that a wrench sucks because it makes a lousy spoon. People who say Linux could be more popular by being more like Windows might as well say that their daughter would be more popular if they had her sleep with every man in town.

It goes on and on... heard it all before. Don't think that these trolls matter for anything but carbon sinks.

Respect, man! Even if we don't get along, I respect somebody who sticks to their guns like you do. You're not a troll! You're deluded, possibly suffering from a disorder.

Lunduke? Jerk and troll. Desktop Linux does not suck, "sucking" is an extremely objective opinion, title deliberately phrased so as to call attention by provoking anger. Criticism is phrased destructively instead of constructively. Dictionary definition of troll, with jerk icing.
