in Question on Chez Moi
Such a precious question! LOL

Grow some tulsi, some dhania and pudina in your backyard, and chew the leaves in front of the little one :P

Should be entertaining! I would!!!

Entertaining eh? sigh. Things we do for our kids (or, for that matter, for blog posts!) !!!

Hahahahaha, this is hilarious. Thank your lucky stars this screwed up timing happens in college - only 3 yrs or so. What if it happened in school with 12 yrs? Love the fun your relatives have at your expense
1 reply
rajatarora Oh yes! Thank you God!
But it was only slightly better in school. Once I had my birthday on a sunday (in class VII I think), and the next day it was a unit test...

I love your bad habit : you would have been sunk in the times of Papillion - the French believe a person is guilty until proved innocent. LOL

LOL again at your dream job. You have the makings of a great hacker ;)

rajatarora Sure! I'd love to be a hacker one day! :)

in How open is your society to homosexuality? on Ubiquitense - tune in to your senses
I came face to face with the issue of one of my elder son's friends being gay. I am ashamed to state that I did not take it very well (on the inside) though I did not shame myself or my sons openly. I think we have a deep seated bias in my generation. The younger generation is more open. I wrote about my experience in my blog - do visit http://www.phoenixritu.com/2008/10/page/2/

Dark .... for me its brown, the colour of dirt, of muddy water, lifeless and dirty

in Sing Along! on Talking Talking
I am a major FM fan - Radio One, Mirchi etc. No, my Ipod doesnt match up. I think I should go get myself a portable FM radio. Ipod is only good for meditation and work out
1 reply
rajatarora Then you and me belong to the same league! :)
I'd love to go back to FM anytime, I just need to purchase a new pocket radio. However, there's one glitch. FM signals do not reach the underground metro, which I use everyday!

in Fashion ka Jalwa on Talking Talking
I liked the movie - my quarrel is with the name. It is not about fashion, its about models. I have since decided to call it Ramp or rather "The Tramp and the Ramp". They do not talk about lines, cuts, fabrics, seasons ..... its all about the models
1 reply
rajatarora Yes.. the name. Maybe the director could have inserted scenes about designs, tailors and all.. But that would have made it ever so lengthy! :)

in Discussing Poverty on Talking Talking
Interesting view point Rajat. I agree about the Government making parasites by providing sops instead of real help. Education (knowledge/knowhow/independent thinking) is feared by those in power, because it makes people question and think.
rajatarora Of course!

in Letter on Talking Talking
You are a true romantic, a throw back on yesteryears. Yes handwritten letters are matchless, but only special letters need be handwritten. The fast paced life makes it necessary to use the email.
rajatarora I agree. You cannot write a letter by hand to your colleague, who lives in another country, to be delivered by snail mail! It will take atleast 10 days to reach him, which is ages in today's world! :)

in Dangerous Independence on Talking Talking
You know Rajat, rights come with responsiblities. We all want the rights, do not want to take responsiblity - from our leaders right down to us citizens. This is what creates the lame responses ...... OMG I could go on and on.
rajatarora Exactly.. We talk about making India at par with developed nations, but for that we need to check our own fundamentals too.. and accept some responsibilities. Yet, apne ghar ki gandagi mein haath gande kaun kare!.

Its just like that. Sadly.

in Is life back to normal? on Talking Talking
I think the fitting answer to terrorism is to not get terrified. Life must go on as usual - the show must go on. Of course the so and so's should be punished.
