I just don't get it either. Just today McDonalds paid for a sponsored gift on Facebook - spent six figures- and yet still doesn't own or enter their own Fan pages with a combined 1.2 million fans. Bizzarro World.

http://www.buzzmarketingdaily.com/2008/12/ny-ti...

Re: 2008/11/26/tweetsgiving/

Thanks for posting about #Tweetsgiving, Mark. Even with advertising budgets being cut, social media marketing is so much more than advertising, as evidenced by this incredible survey.

Every marketer out there wants "to be talked about", whether it's your company, client, product or service. Social media allows just that, on as a great a scale as you'll allow it.

Re: 2009/02/04/mashable-jobs-feb4/

Tamar, We at theKbuzz just found and just hired an excellent candidate through our Mashable post above. By the way, the ONLY place we advertised the position besides our website was Mashable. So thank you!

Re: The Best Facebook Fan Pages

We @theKbuzz are selecting our favorite 40 Facebook Fan Pages for publication next Monday http://tr.im/TOP40

Re: JK Wedding Dance Leads to Unexpected Divorce [VIDEO]

It's not from College Humor, they just reposted it. Too many people are preaching to the choir re:social media. It's easy, and gets a lot of "Yes"es and not a lot of $. Preaching to the yet-to-be-convinced is a lot harder but the $ payoff is a lot better.

Re: A Crash Course in Comments

Excellent post, Chris. Thanks. I will be sharing this with my whole staff.
