Tamar, We at theKbuzz just found and just hired an excellent candidate through our Mashable post above. By the way, the ONLY place we advertised the position besides our website was Mashable. So thank you!

Excellent post, Chris. Thanks. I will be sharing this with my whole staff. My biggest takeaway: shorter posts.

I am very optimisitc for '09. Even with advertising budgets being cut, social media marketing is so much more than advertising, as evidenced by this incredible survey.

Every marketer out there wants "to be talked about", whether it's your company, client, product or service. Social media allows just that, on as a great a scale as you'll allow it.

in Facebook Fan Pages, I’m a Fan, Now What? on Jacob Morgan on Social Media, Technology, Marketing, and Life
I completely agree with you Jacob- in fact I just blogged about this topic a few days ago, linked below. I just don't get it either. Just today McDonalds paid for a sponsored gift on Facebook - spent six figures- and yet still doesn't own or enter their own Fan pages with a combined 1.2 million fans. Bizzarro World.

in Marketing Consideration for Social Media Types on Chris Brogan
Nice post. Too many people are preaching to the choir re:social media. It's easy, and gets a lot of "Yes"es and not a lot of $. Preaching to the yet-to-be-convinced is a lot harder but the $ payoff is a lot better.

I think the answer is, you have to be who you are- personal and professional have merged with the advent of social media- and today's 21-29 year olds know no boundaries in this sphere.
