Blaine, I know if we commit ourselves to the Lord, He will do and be all that we need. Nov. 2007 I stopped hiding my 21-year addiction to SS pornography by confessing and confiding in my wife, pastor and eventually close friends. I then sought out a local Exodus ministry where I've gone to counseling since March. However in the last week or so, I've completely lost the fight and given in to temptation and I feel like @#%*!. That said, though I feel like the biggest loser or God's brilliant mistake, I know His word says differently. We have to do what is necessary for our healing. For myself, I will be deleting my blog and dismantle my desktop and toss out all my computer parts and paraphernalia. I will start attending group sessions in Sept. This is all I know to do, right now. I understand addiction. It's been a cruel heavy-fisted taskmaster. But I hope in the Master, Jesus Christ. I will be supporting you in prayer [seriously]. Thanks for the dialog, Randy.

Randy You can ask ...

I think the Biden pick was a gift to the Republicans as far as propaganda is concerned. I think it also shows that a man who prides himself on having good judgment just made a big mistake. Even if he wins I believe he will regret asking Biden to be his VP.

Randy No, it didn't smell but I didn't get in it. Yes, even though the main subject of the conference is not something he deals with, he is a friend who went.

I love the hat. Looks like a good beach/fishing hat to me. :) Your blog is more entertaining than television!... and the 'Randy-Cams' are great. I went to view all of your other mini-features... I loved "Flu 2008" the music was great, and The Reluctant Workout ...very creative. I went with Erika to Michaels [so she could get some last minute supplies for her classroom] last night and I ended spending a lot of $$$$ on new art supplies. We'll see what happens.

Cool picture! I love to look at them. It's interesting to see [in photos] things, our ancestors had to live with, that we would not put up with! Genealogy is very time consuming but it is something to do on the side I guess, I'm glad my mother has an interest, because I just don't have the time of patience. I have found out that one side of my family [Treadway] was French. Then my great-grandfather Treadway married a full-blooded Cherokee woman named Florida. So I'm 1/4 Cherokee, French, Scotch-Irish, English and German [Parker]. Erika can't trace one side of her family because her great-grandfather was Jewish and his family completely disowned him and took away his identity when he fell in love and married her great-grandmother... a Gentile! So his name was changed from Wiess to Weiss.

Randy, have you ever thought about investigating your family history [genealogy] ? My mother is soooooo into genealogy. It is quite interesting. She's traced one side [Treadway] all the way back to the Crusades. The coat of arms are way cool... swords, beheaded enemies, crosses, griffins, etc.

Randy It's definitely a beach and kayaking hat. I'll leave the fishing to you. I am glad you like my blog and "Randy-Cam."

Randy, you own a single family home don't you? I am assuming this based on the stories you've shared. When all the rain is over have a professional roofer::: you trust::: to check out your roof! You'd be amazed what constant wind and rain can do. It might save you $ in the long run. That's way too much rain, for me. I think being forced to listen to that for any extended period of time would cause me bounce off the walls! : ) Too bad we haven't the technology to pump all of that water up here!

I went to John Piper Ministries and I believe the above book mentioned is:
"Don't Waste Your Life". It is available free by *pdf here: http://www.desiringgod.org/ResourceLibrary/Onli...

Thanks for the info, it looks very good!

Randy That is a really good idea. Right before I left for the gym I counted three pretty good thumps of small tree limbs falling on my roof. I saw one actually bounce off into the yard.

It's gotten a lot worse over the past couple of hours.

I really needed to read this beautiful "story". And I say it's a beautiful story because no matter what struggle, temptation, battle or inner strife, the Lord, Who humbles Himself to consider the Earth humbles Himself to care about a guy who is hiding within himself and from others. This has not been a good day for me. Today was an extreme "Fred" day for me, [now yesterday]. Was "Fred" able to accept the fact that people loved and cared for him? It looks as if Proverbs 16:9 work itself out in your life and Fred's!

I will be 48, Feb. 2009. My family and I visited my grandparents and cousins a couple of times a year from the 1950's until my grandparents moved to Charlotte in the mid '70's. I remember the day trips to Daytona Beach with nine siblings and cousins crammed into a station wagon and being able to park the car on the beach::: Pause:::: I just remembered that I had a photo of one of those trips! Check it out here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ge_parker/2783402226/

We also would play dodge ball with grapefruits in a grapefruit grove that was near my cousins house.... it's not fun being hit with rotten grapefruit!

Randy The Lord is beautiful. I would absolutely agree.

I might talk about Fred but I can't really speak for whether he was able to receive what happened today. A lot of people have been reaching out to him for a while now so I think it is safe to say that "receiving" from us is an off and on thing for him.

Sorry you have had such a difficult day.

Thanks for the video update! Now I must admit it would be much more interesting to have seen you holding on to the balcony railing for dear life as the wind waved across you like a flag : )... but hey, the sound of falling rain is a welcomed sound is much more interesting than watching my rose bushes slowly turn from yellow to brown! It's nostalgic to here you speak of your location... my grandparents lived in Winterpark, Jupiter, Ft. Myers, Orlando [off Orange Blossom Trail] and Ocoee for several decades. Oh, the memories of loading up in the old Ford station wagon at 1:00/2:00 in the morning and stopping in Jesup, GA for breakfast at Jones' Kitchen then stopping at the A&W; Root Beer drive-in restaurant [in Orlando] to get a gallon of root beer before we went to my grandparents!

Hey Randy,

What's happening in your neck of the woods? I just got home from the "Y" and turned on TWC. It looks as if Fay is heading toward Daytona Beach and then out to sea. What are the precautions, if any, being taken at the Exodus offices? Keep us updated!
