That's a great pic, Gary.
Kudos on not hiking up with how the Aboriginees feel about tourists climbing on it.

Gary, I would be really interested in hearing what you proposed Southeast Asia intinerary is. I think that Cambodia, Laos, and Burma sound really interesting.
I heard on another podcast that China was not granting any new tourist Visas until after the Olympics.

You'll see a lot of Brazilian Steakhouses in Europe, too. I've eaten at them in Brussles and Amsterdam.
I'm glad you like Adelaide- it was the least favorite of the cities I visited in Australia. I loved the South Australia Museum.

Carl,
What did he say? Clearly you are not an Australian. I spent two months there and never met anyone as arrogant as you. They guy said he is not feeling well, nothing about Australia. I've never met anyone who has been there who didn't love it, especially the people. If you don't like his blog don't read it. Your comments are giving your adopted country a bad name.

No Yellowstone?!?!?!?!?
How does this happen??
I think Olympic National Park would have been a good choice. It's home to the only rainforest in the US, as well as some great mountain scenery and a significant amount of coastline.
Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado is home to an outstanding collection of old Indian Pueblos.
The Everglades, while disappearing more and more each day, is a unique natural habitat.
Living in Michigan, I am partial to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in the Northwest tip of the lower peninsula.

I have heard so much about the Bungle Bungles, the flight should make for great pictures.
Is it nerve-racking when the road trains pass you? I've heard they cough up quite a bit of dust.

I work for FedEx here in the states, and I can tell you that this sounds more like an error in data entry, not a theft.
I hope they turn up!

You couldn't have put it better. It IS touristy, but still something I'm glad I did. I didn't climb Uluru, however, mostly becasue of how the Aboriginees feel about that.

I am really enjoying your blog & photos. I like many am incredibly jealous.
I visited Australia in 2001, right before the dollar fell, so it was cheap. I really enjoyed all of Australia, but especially Tassie and Perth.
Best of luck and I'll be checking in daily.
p.s. I was the guest on episode 121 of the Amatuer Traveller podcast.
