Yes, Tonia is running against the Lowenthals and needs all the money she can get. If she took money from railroads, she also supported Furitanis rail bill where Bonnie did not. If she took money form oil, she also voted to tax dirty bunker fuel and Bonnie did not. I dont care where she gets her money from so long as she keeps voting the right way.
Perhaps "Concerned" can write a check and send it to her. Evidently Bonnie has more than enough since I've gotten enough mail from her to fill a recycle bin! and I thought she was the green candidate.
BTW, Tonia thanks for the flower, I planted it in my garden and it looks great! talk about actions speaking louder than words!

Looks like Gary is setting us up to back the mayor's unpopular infrastructure bond. The only way the public will go for placing the city in such debt is if we feel the pain. Until he makes us cry uncle.

So why does Mike Walter get passed over for president and Hankla gets a second term as president in so many years?
Just when the city council has asked for a reivew of tidelands funds and port contributions to the city. Who is protecting what and why?

Sometimes to be successful you sacrifice your family. Wasn't it just 20 years ago this year Bonnie was on the front page for the exact same thing....with then Councilmember Evan Braude. Perhaps Danny just married someone like his mom. Bonnie has voted on several items at hearings and at council where her live in lover has represented folks going before council. No one has had the guts to bring it up other than in whispers. Perhaps now that she has moved into his 54th district apt. she will be more careful. Her votes were a more blatant conflict of interest than Suja's will ever be, (unless the rumor about the firefighter union guy is true)

Maybe that is why they are all divorced. Her mother in law, the faux queen of ethics doesn’t have to worry about Alan or Evan and any conflicts since the whole gang isn’t married anymore.
Strange family.
Skirting the law but definitely flirting with unethical behavior.

What are the details? What libraries will be done, what streets? Did anyone ask the community what they wanted to see done, and according to my council office no one asked the council offices priorities in their districts. Who would know better than the council offices and the people.
I am sure Foster looked at voting patterns and chose the projects accordingly. Does he really care about our infrastructure? If so, show me the list...you go Gerrie!

well over 60% of hotel workers in long beach actually live in this city

In LA, housekeeping has a quota of 13-14 rooms a shift while long becah workers have 22-24 rooms a shift.
Fact:
LA union workers make much more than Long Beach workers.
Fact:
Live better work union.

Yes everywhere the Romans went they built roads but this parcel TAX is not about building roads. Only 27% of the money collected will go to streets, sidewalks and alleys. The rest, over 70%, will go to special projects.
What are the projects and who do they favor or rather what favors do they repay? Don’t be fooled by the dog and pony show.

Will Ms Ames still rake in the $160,000 a year while on the campaign trail? Or will she take vacation or personal leave, still leaving the tax payer holding the bag?
Let’s see who donates to this besides large corporations waiting for a healthy contract and possible unions waiting for a Project Labor Agreement. Don’t hold your breath! He has betrayed workers before and will again.
