Great choice. One I would have went with but I decided on another family. Sorry I haven't been around Old School Fridays for awhile, between the hospital and other problems it's been hard to find time for much of anything. But I hope I'm back now.

Good choice. After missing last week's Old School Fridays I'm back and like you I tried not to go with an obvious choice for child singer.

Two great choices. I saw Etta at Jazz Fest a few years ago and she puts on a show that could shame a performer half her age. She is priceless and a classic. BB is great also, never had the chance to see him yet but hope to.

I agree with you. I feel like I'm on some sort of high that I don't want to come down from. I find myself just grinning for no reason at all. It really is a great feeling.


I had the same situation at work. No one mentioned the Inauguration at all and that was all I really wanted to talk about. But than I shouldn't be surprised, the majority of the people that I worked with voted for the other guy if they voted at all.



But I don't care, I'm not going to let them get me down. This is a great time and I look forward to the future.

I have to admit I never cared for either show, but the themes have stuck in my mind. When they were popular you just couldn't get away from them.

I've been hearing a lot about this story lately, since it takes place in my hometown. It makes no sense at all and never will. This man needs to be put in jail for life and never let out.

Since I've discovered your blog I just enjoy reading whatever you write about. Write about whatever, I know sometimes it gets hard to think of something, than just write what's in your heart or mind at that moment.

An aside: There's no more topics for Old School Fridays after the current one, it's not ending is it? I've really enjoyed this and look forward to it every week. Thanks for thinking it up.

I went with probably the predictable choice, I just love Purple Rain. It was the song that brought me to him and I still get goose bumps when I hear it.

It scares me too. If you listen to her answers, she rarely answered the question or knew what she was talking about, but she went out of her way to prove that she was a "regular person" not a politcian and that's what I'm afraid people are going to come away from the debate with. She wants everyone to think she's just one of them...when that couldn't be farther from the truth.

I missed this week of Old School Fridays since I'm not really a fan of Karaoke and wasn't sure what made a Karaoke song, but I'll be back this Friday. Good song, always loved Whitney. I remember telling my friends about her before she was famous, I just thought she was so beautiful and talented.
