Have you never noticed this? I thought Inter were gaining control just before the sending off, and had never been seriously troubled. In fact they defended very well throughout.
Liverpool deserved 1 - 0, no more. Our team worked hard and earned the result they deserved. Even if the key figure in the defense line was taken off, they managed to hold Roma quite well, credit to all of the players. We went there and controlled the pace of the game.

A lot of people have criticized SAF in the past for his unique style of European football. I don't think many of us supporters would like to see us sit back and play in a very sluggish sort of slow motion speed but for the manager he knows what is at stake and what needs to be done... courtesy to him we have got two crucial away goals which will give us great confidence going to the return lg.

The Roma fans are one of the most feared fans in Europe. They are very hostile but today, they were silenced by the amazing, well composed and strong team Uinted. Keep in mind, They aren't the Roma that we did beat last year 7 - 1. They are by far the much improved Roma that are second on their league table. They have been awesome this season and to be fair they at least deserved a goal from that match. I think they could have even played much better if it wasn't for the psychological damage that was done to them by the giant, fearless and excellent team united.

I admire Ronaldo for so many reasons. One of the reason why I think he will be one of the greatest footballers to walk on this planet is because of his unique determination. He is very determined to win games and win them well. I think that is an excellent quality that you want to see on each and every footballer. His level of determination is beyond my understanding. If there is anybody right now on earth who might disagree the fact that Ronaldo IS the best player in the world at the moment, I can blindly say that person either doesn't know football or he/she has to be mentally retarded.

:d/:)>-
It was interesting to hear Marcello Lippi commenting that he had a new found rewspect for Cristiano Ronaldo after this match as before he had not considered him highly, or words to that meaning.

Re: Man Utd 1 - 0 Roma

Who knows?
Man leave the nationalities out of the way...yes I'm portuguese and dude I watch italian football every bloody Sunday, my wife is Italian, and she knows italian teams have had favours over the years..It's boring, defensive and the players might as well be swimmers..out of ll the italian teams with all the way overpriced players they have none made it to the last four. .
Surely it is the English teams who have the overpriced players, Man U have Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo, Ferdinand, Hargreavess, and Carrick all of whom cost more than any player in the Milan ranks at the moment, and in the Inter team too I believe - Ibrahimovic and Gilardino being closest at 17 and 18 million respectively.

Italian football is not well regarded in England for some reason. Are you sure about what you just said? Mutu was purcahsed on the cheap. I'm sure he is paid more than the Rangers player mind. But really, Fiorentina are not some massive rich club, they happen to have a very clever manager and Sporting director (Corvino), who have assembled a good team out of yoth players (Montolivo and Pazzini, a few washed up has beens (Liverani, Jorgenson, Vieri), and a few Italian players whom are not internationals, and were not bouhgt for lagre sums - Gobbi, Gamberini, Danielli, Pasqual etc), and other young players like Kuzmanovic (£3million). So all in all, Fiorentina are hardly some big spending powerhouse of a club, able to buy their way to success, in fact only a few years ago (around 2000) they went backrupt.

Re: Champions League Final 99 - Bayern Vs.
