Heh, I remember laughing at that movie with my friends thinking "awww man, we've been doing this (hacking into systems) for a couple of years now. I went some mighty interesting places with my Apple ][+ and met some fascinating people around the world on the BBSs including having many conversations with a "Woz" who seemed to know so much about the Apple ][. It was absolutely a good time.

What you should know is that we have done major damage to our higher education system over the past few years. We spent the 20 years before Bush encouraging young people to go into science and over the past 7 years, we've pulled the rug out from underneath them. Science funding, particularly in the biosciences has taken it in the shorts. Labs are closing, scientists are leaving the country for others and students do not want to continue in academia.

If we expect to maintain our lead in higher education, we've gotta fix what's been broken.

When you are in Sydney, if you enjoy sushi, check out a place called Yoshii. It is absolutely the best sushi experience I've ever had with great sake as well.

in AT&T Is Discriminating Against People With Good Credit on A VC
I have a fundamental problem with having to provide the Social Security # to begin with and would love to see this little requirement done away with.

With respect to the iPhone, yeah... I'd love to pick one up, but I dumped AT&T years ago because of poor customer service and usurous rates for international coverage. T-Mobile has been a much better experience, yet I still *hate* the contracts. Why don't we have a system like that in Europe?
