I would love to have nice, attractive, well-fitting workout gear! One day...

Also, I loved All About Eve, but it should come with the caveat that they are aimed at small girls with big boobs - most of their range tops out at a size 16/38 back size. They do have some bigger stuff, but it all seemed to be black and beige, judging by the catalogue. I am fortunate enough to have a fairly small ribcage, so I got sized a 16F - if I'd been any bigger through the back, I probably would have been SOL.

Re: Kikay Kids

aaaaaawies,

even lil' kiddos look-up to you..

“ I wanna be like ate Jays! ”

sweet-sweet ! :)

Re: Disney Sea

ang cute ni Jays.. kung may 22ong Marie spoiled xa kay Jays :) :app2:

Re: PIG Party! with PHCY

ma l'invito che possiamo prendere in negozio fa entrare due persone, giusto?

Re: How to make a gift box from an old greeting card!

CUTE!
I just finished making my own and it's adorable!
thanks for the idea!

Re: 01613372260

it rings me around 5 times a day its pissin me off!

Re: 01424736300

Following a search on some comparison sites I had a missed call from this number.
When I rang back it was a dead line.
Investigation online pointed to hastings direct so I phoned them.
Snotty girl in the quotes dept claims they dont have my number (I'd ticked all the privacy boxes on the comparison sites)

If they ring again I shall be answering and telling them I will report them to the Telephone Protection Service which carries a £5000 fine!

Re: the worst honor code violators

Good for people to know.

Re: the worst honor code violators

Good for people to know.

Re: Making Car Parts With Coconuts & the Dangers of Eco-Tokens

Thanks for this article. I visited coastal Sri Lanka two years after the tsunami. Local economies had been decimated. Many small entrepreneurs were pinning their hopes on being able to sell the locally-abundant coconut fibers (coir) to the global market. The problem is that, while there are many applications for coir, the market can easily become flooded with coir supply. Innovative uses such as that described here seem like a good way to hook local entrepreneurs in. The big challenge, of course, is making sure that the entrepreneurs are paid a fair price for their work and their goods! (Good caveat, too, re greenwashing potential from car companies--but if coir can be used for these applications, there must be plenty of other similar ones for household products and maybe industrial products as well.)

Re: DIY: Make Your Own Fabric Eco-Labels

This article uses the term "eco-label" in a very misleading way.

I think the author meant labels that are physically made in an environmentally-friendly way. But "eco-label" usually refers to a certification or other value-added marking that distinguishes one product from another based on environmental aspects of the way it was produced.

Eco-labels are already controversial enough (many of them are not backed up by third-party certification). So this is a great way for kids like me to stay cool, in the extreme heat. I'm writing this assuming everybody reading this has a freezer, at least 2 hand towels, and 2 wash-clothes. Put all of the hand towels, and wash-clothes in the freezer, then wait about 5 minutes. Then take 1 hand towel and 1 wash-cloth out of the freezer, and put the hand towel under your shirt and on your back, then put wash-cloth on your forehead. Do this quickly so it still is close to being frozen (really! Once their was ice crystals on it!) Then the best thing you can do is relax! Watch T.V. watch a movie, lounge! Any thing that lets you stay awake, and lay down is fine. Just make sure you can get up to switch out the hand towels and wash clothes. Hope this helps!

Re: 62 Uses for Vinegar

vinegar is probably better than mainstream disturbing chemical cleaners. however, it's not entirely environmentally sound. the cheapest kind of vinegar, the kind you'd use for cleaning not on your salad, is white or distilled vinegar. unlike culinary vinegars like red wine or apple cider, this is made from distilled corn, wood or petroleum (tasty!).

so it's a lot less toxic than chlorox bleach but remember that it does have to come from somewhere...

Re: Eco-friendly Bus Fleet Takes Off in Delhi

Please cite the work of Center for Science and Environment in making the transition to CNG transportation possible in Delhi. Arguably, it was their pressure that ultimately persuaded the Supreme Court to force the city government to get cleaner buses and rickshaws on the road in 2002. I was living there at the time and experienced the strikes and slowdowns that came along with the rough transition--though of course I was fully in support of it! Just illustrated how unprepared the local goverment was to implement the laws that were already on the books.

Center for Science and Environment has consistently been a powerful actor in Delhi--monitoring air and water quality and exposing the environmental health risks that are often hidden, sometimes intentionally.

Re: High Divorce Rate Tied To Increased Resource Consumption

Ha! We also use newspaper--it is actually a crucial ingredient. It helps moderate the moisture from the veggie scraps, and keeps mold growth down. You could also use dried leaves, but those are hard to come by in the middle of the city. (Don't particularly want the ones from the gutters because of car pollution and runoff.) The best parts about having a worm bin? But they could have done far better—by designing a green stimulus package with the potential to boost the economy and create jobs while minimizing environmental harm.

Imagine if the announced economic stimulus package focused on facilitating investments in innovative green technologies, including wind and solar energy. Imagine providing funds to retrofit buildings so they no longer require heavy air conditioning in the summer and expensive heating in the winter. Imagine launching an effort to wean us off our debilitating addiction to automobiles by investing in public transit and encouraging developers to build communities that are less sprawling and more walkable. I was just in Beijing in mid-June, and the Olympic and airport link lines hadn't opened yet. We had to walk more than a mile from Line 5 to the Olympic Park, and was having a hard time imagining tens of thousands of tourists doing the same!

I am similarly in awe of the new lines. Glass windows with sliding doors that open in tandem with the train car doors. Clean, bright signs. Frequent announcements in Mandarin and English. Lighted maps with stops illuminated in red or green, to show where the train is currently going.

Re: European E-waste, Labeled 'Second-Hand,' Is Unloaded in Ghana

I like Elepski's idea!

I also work at an e-waste recycler, but in Houston.

Let's not add to the misunderstanding around this term, on Treehugger.

Re: Women's Bean Project Teaches Job Skills to Help Women Overcome Poverty

My friend gave me a chili mix, a bean soup mix, and chocolate covered espresso beans from the Women's Bean Project, for Christmas. I also ask why and quickly review the chart for any undignified "chart wars" that may have occurred. This assessment is usually done in 5 minutes, and then I let the family look with the patient's permission. No one can read the progress notes, because the handwriting is so bad, and the family feels secure that there are no unnatural secrets occurring. Most are bored with the chart in a few minutes and give it back. I always want to review my parents' charts when they are admitted, just to make sure no one has missed anything important, because as doctor/daughter I consider myself part of a team focused on getting my parent well. Too much paranoia just makes you look guilty.

Re: http://thehappyhospitalist.blogspot.com/2009/01/looking-for-contributors-to-hospitalist.html

Sounds like fun. Any tavern that is not claiming all their income from games is foolish. It is only 3%. No reason to hide money from the State. This bill would be the largest expansion of gambling in many years. Riverboats have around 1500+ slots. This bill will put 65,000 games in every restaurant and tavern. Yes clubs have them. But do you want them in every place you go? Let's got to the Olive Garden and gamble.

Re: Question of the day

Feel sorry for the dog.
