And it's doing it in multiple browsers, too. It has also broken the "send" button on the Compose a new Message page. You would think they could test the new stuff offline before going live with it.

Re: Is Facebook redesigning?

I just did a shift-reload on both the main Facebook page and the sending messages page and now it looks normal and the Send button works. It might be that it was using the wrong CSS file in the cache or something, or else they reverted the site just as I was shift-reloading. :) Anyway, try that and see if it works.

Re: Wordpress wp-login.php Problem

Thank you for this post. As usual in the WP forums, the fix was not presented in any straightforward way. *sigh*

Re: Amazon Fresh is getting closer

What Steve said, basically. There are a couple of benefits to having groceries delivered. One is the time savings, and the other is that you don't do as much impulse shopping.

Back when we had Home Grocer service, it was great -- I had a default weekly list set up, and each week I would just log in, go over the list, add a few things if necessarily, and plan out menus at the same time, then the next morning the food would arrive. I spent a lot less that way than I do at the actual grocery store, and never forgot the important stuff (which I always do when I'm shopping at the real store).

Amazon is located on Beacon Hill, where I live, but they won't offer us Amazon Fresh. You are lucky. I miss Home Grocer a lot and would use Amazon Fresh in a second if we could. (Safeway will deliver to us but I was very unhappy with them when I tried to use their service.)

Re: Amazon Fresh is getting closer

and by "if necessarily" I meant "if necessary", darn it.

Re: I’m high as a kiii-iite, I just miii-iight stop to check it out…

So how is the WordPress experiment going? I love WP to death. It's just been so darned easy to do everything. Even the installation -- painless.

(BTW, if you were wondering why comments suddenly became moderated on Slumberland -- hopefully it's temporary. Basically I was warned that some folks were going to try to trash the blog.)

Oh, if that was you who made an account on the Slumberland BBS the other day, go ahead and try to log in now. The account is validated.

Re: KOMO parent Fisher dives into Seattle neighborhood blogging

"Many of the new KOMO sites already feature thumbnail ads for neighborhood restaurants and retailers."

Are you aware that many, if not all of these ads, aren't real ads? The "advertisers" from our neighborhood tell us that their logos and names were used without their permission -- they are not paying for that space and didn't even know these "ads" were running.

I'm sure they don't object to some free advertising, but listing them as "Sponsors" as KOMO does seems a little iffy. If I were a local business I would probably be uncomfortable with being listed as a "sponsor" without giving consent first, even if it did come with free advertising.

Re: KOMO parent Fisher dives into Seattle neighborhood blogging

"Many of the new KOMO sites already feature thumbnail ads for neighborhood restaurants and retailers."

Are you aware that many, if not all of these ads, aren't real ads?
