I used to participate in all this nonsense and usually get top 3 spots, most of the time top spot. But their stupid buttons take ages to load, and I figured out I don't need their traffic anyway so I removed them.

honestly... they load slow. but i think the reason i removed them was because during that time the international link for streamyx was a bit dodgy. these lists are hosted overseas anyway. during normal times like these it's not so bad.

This is a problem with the Cisco Cache Engines which TMNet bought. They are the transparent proxies which make us have the IPs 219.93.174.xxx when we surf overseas sites.

I have a theory lah guys.

Most of the visitors to our Malaysian blogs with Adsense accounts are Malaysian right? And these Malaysians are the ones who click on our ads right?

Could it be that each and every one of us seems to appear as the same people to Google because of these transparnet proxy IPs? That's why alot of Msian bloggers are banned?

liewcf... the term six-figure income refers to the income earned in a year. that's how americans tell people how much they earn.

basically you're already a 5-figure blogger as long as you earn minimum rm833.333333 a month from adsense (10k a year)

This is a form of advertising called a site takeover or something, by local web advertising firm Innity Sdn Bhd.

Their creative team seems to be somewhat incompetent, not knowing how to do layering of Flash properly, with their expandable ads causing problems for alot of their sites. Their ads on motortrader.com.my often do not roll up properly after expanding, thus rending all the navigation links that was under it unaccessible.

The last Digi site takeover I knew of was of i-sinchew.com.

I recently moved to a new dedicated server for my Wordpress installation. My site currently uses 2 dedicated servers, one for static media and video, the other for Wordpress and PHP. Bandwidth is over 1TB a month :O

I'm considering www.cachefly.com CDN for the static media and video hosting, perhaps you should too.

btw, VPS not recommended. usually only 128 to 256 RAM, you can't benefit from MySQL query cache.

1. please ensure you have backups for your data, as sata hard drives aren't meant to be used in a 24/7 hosting environment.

2. you could do with abit more ram so you can have a larger mysql query cache.
