in PALIN CONFIRMED (?) on The One Blog
what a weird pick. shes been investigated for corruption, totally undermines mccain's experience argument and her anti-choice stance combined with her young age/looks will alienate her from picking up too many hillary supporters. are they trying to hand the momentum to obama?
JT In fairness it wasn't really a corruption investigation and it doesn't look like much to care about. She might have had a guy fired that wouldn't fire her sister's ex-husband. If you can't screw over the guy that broke your sister's heart then what's the point of being governor.
I say this as someone that thinks Palin was a stupid choice.

in Viewer Mail on Daily Options Report
Hey that's cool...for me personally I read your blog just to build up options knowledge because I'm a relative new-comer...I've probably made a few hundred trades over about two years. To me though, it's interesting to hear someone who was a MM and now is a retail trader. The most interesting thing would be just how you make money. I'd just like to know if it's possible to take MM techniques and apply them to retail somehow. I wouldn't expect you to give away some secret recipe, as if there was one...but take for example how you frequently mention "flipping stock." A couple days ago you made a post that was really good because it gave an example...up to that point i was totally in the dark as to what you were actually doing. Is that what is referred to as "gamma scalping"? I heard that's a tough way to make money, and as you note as well...wouldn't you need to have a lot of cash on the sidelines to allow you to keep buying or shorting stock?...I mean, not an infinite Lenny amount, but still a lot?

agwarner Yeah sure, I'll try to do that sort of thing a little more.

As to the Lenny Capital, don't forget slot of is buying and selling
the same shares. Let's say you own 10 calls and are short 500 shares.
You're really only flipping a max of 500 shares more. And (no joke)
you can short deeeeeeps in lieu of any or all of it.

in VIX Vx. VIX on Daily Options Report
I've been following your blog for awhile...all in all I think it's excellent. But why harp on the VIX so much, when the conclusion is always that it's not that important? It sounds like you are taking sort of an educational stance (when you say, "I reiterate these points over and over"), which is fine. But then why not add in some about what you're actually trading with examples, and specific strategies? There's only so much you can say about how the VIX is just a statistic with noise, and that the trading products on it are imperfect. It's your blog, I know this isn't Blog-On-Demand, but that's just my two cents...

agwarner Because I'm focusing more on eductation than a trading journal. And there's
incredible misinfo out there on this thing. As always, if a post displeases
you, don't read it.

Maybe he should have just complained that the comparison of the O to an empty suit denigrated empty suits. Of course, "denigrate" is a code word for RACIST! Not to mention that it insults the hell out of empty suits since they at least make those that wear them look good. Instead of doing absolutely nothing.

in CFOB mania! - Thanks to the help from all the new wonderful... on CFOBmania!
look this is what the deal is with CFOB.

fall out boy is putting out a new cd. we all know how involved they get, since they're putting out new material they might as well put it out on election day. that way they can get fans involve, get them amped to vote, and at the same time promote an album. they'll say that we need to actually listen to what the artists have to say much like we should listen when choosing a candidate. that's why when they've said that CFOB is something bigger than an album, it's an election. plus, that's a lot more simple than we've been making it.

in Section 2855: What Reporters Have Left Out of Their EMI/Leto Coverage on Coolfer
The interesting thing about this law is that it does not BAR in any way the performer from continuing to record. So essentially 30STM could have recorded their remaining albums that they owed and delivered them to EMI. Now whether or not EMI would have released them is a different story. But 30STM could have fulfilled their contractual obligations and be done with EMI.

Citylights: As far as EMI owning the masters, that was the deal 30STM signed. If they didn't like, it they shouldn't have signed it. if they didn't understand it, then they should take it up with their lawyer.

in Court officer shot himself with concealed gun Weapon was legal; police believe shooting was accidental on Nashua Telegraph
Nope, it is a .25ACP chambering. Bore sizes specified in _caliber_ are in inches; the bullet in the.25ACP load is approximately 1/4 inch in diameter. The Telegraph -- as usual -- left out the decimal, thus denoting a twenty-five inch bore. On the other hand, the European metric system of bore nomenclature generally gives the millimeter bullet diameter, as in the 9mm Parabellum (9x19) without a preceding decimal, or 7.62x39 (in which the bore is a bit less than a full 8 millimeters.

I have a sneaking suspicion I have more of a clue about ballistics than do you.

Personally. I don't think much of .25ACP; it's under-powered. But it is controllable, and firearms chambered for it are often inexpensive enough to be affordable to those on tight budgets. It's better than nothing, until they can afford better. But as a duty backup, .25ACP is ridiculous. By preference a backup weapon is best chambered the same as the primary weapon, unless deep cover requires something smaller and concealable, in which case .32ACP is the bare minimum.

"... 25-caliber Beretta..."

Wow. How could he even walk with a twenty-five inch bore cannon strapped to his ankle? I'm surprised the shot didn't take out the entire courthouse.

C'mon, Telegraph: proofread and fact-check. You've gotten to the point where I only read your drivel for the laughs.
