I am trying to find the management representation letter in the research tab for the SIM in Becker and I can't find it.
I know it is SAS No.85 but that doesn't bring it up either.
I have used the words "management representation letter" and "SAS no.85" and can't find it.
Please can anyone help?
I saw the management rep letter on the released SIMs and so want to know where to find it just in case.

in Microsoft's Bing Gains On Google, But MJ's Death Reveals Its Weaknesses | AHN on All Headline News
As a developer working for MS, I can see why this could happen. When bug fixes are done, for example, eventhough we prefer to start by focusing on the bugs that could do the most damage, we are pressured by the management to "somehow get the bug count down", with the result that we have to put the critical bugs (those that would take some time to fix) aside for the time being and focus on fixing a lot of small, trivial bugs show we can get the bug count statistics down - which is the only thing that appeases the management. The management doesn't seem to get it that the rate of decrease of the no. of bugs doesn't necessarily mean that all the important bugs are getting fixed.

in Peter Boockvar On Gold on Zero Hedge
" long time reader and follower (more or less) of franklin sanders, a man who in the earlier days of his life felt the boot of the jack booted thugs on his neck while they pointed machine guns at his family. even after that happened, he will not bring himself to believe in manipulation, etc. he still believes in the system."

Dear katman - can you elaborate more on that?

As an aside, good book on manipulation of the gold markets - Gold Wars: The battle against sound money seen from a Swiss perspective. Written by Ferdinand Lips - Swiss banker, former Rothschild executive.

katman back when FS got started in the PM business, he was living in Arkansas. So being the good tax payer he was and the good law abider he was and is, he (imho foolishly) wrote a letter to the arkansas department of revenue asking if it was necessary for him to collect sales tax on gold and silver pm sales. anyway, to make a long story short, they had a disagreement about it , so he moved across the border into tennessee. well he thought the situation was over, but it wasn't . he said he and his family were in bed and a large group of men dressed in black, raided his farm and broke in and stuck machine guns in the faces of himself and his family. thye accused him of being a religious nutt, etc and he had to go fight this in court and somehow he won thank goodness. i just touch upon the highlights of this story. you can read the whole thing on his website, moneychanger.com........he is not much of a computer guy and he used to make me laugh because for the longest time he was using compuserve , a name i had not heard of since the 80's ...ha ha .......basicallly he is a farmer and a history buff who happens to sell gold and silver.......which is just fine with me. i like it.........he is a man, from another time in our history when things in this country were very different. he is a white man , who is proud of his confederate heritage , as i am as well . my people on both sides of the family fought in the war of northern aggression. with hood's texas brigade , 5000 volunteers fought with general lee in this army of northern virginia. 5000 went and 700 came home. i appreciate the shared sacrifice of the confederate soldier, and i will never forget them, no matter how politically incorrect it is in the world of today and neither will franklin sanders......
Mr. Haney I am a loyal reader of Franklin Sanders as well. My guess is that he believes that the Nice Government Men, as he calls them, use legal means to slow the rise of silver and gold. For example, announcing a large gold sale as gold reaches a breakout on the chart.

If you are interested, see Mr. Sanders' story here: http://the-moneychanger.com/articles_files/dang...
His past commentaries can be found here: http://goldprice.org/

in EDITORIAL: Narrative Gaming in Baby Steps on Bell of Lost Souls
Me and some friends have been doing this for a little while and anxiously await Plant Strike. We usually fight for a planet each little campaign if you will, and the winner gets to keep that planet.

We would run attacker and defender scenarios. (The attacks usually would run an all reserves list be it, Deep Striking, Flanking ect. but now we'll use the Planet Strike rules.)

We would also make each 'Territory' on the planet do two things, have a 'resorce value' and a few would provide extra bonuses. - Like orbital strikes, or teleport relays so you can deep strike a unit.

You could use the resources to buy a list of special abilities or put more points into your list for any one game. Every 'turn' (that is after all people in the campaign have made one attack move onto another territory.) your resources would increase again.

We have a few other special rules as well. (If your attacking from an adjacent territory then you don't need a reserves list, but if so drop pods, Ork rocks, or whatever other fun creative method are a must)

Now with all these rules you can realize some territories will be constantly at war, while others can be held very easily.

With the ability to buy larger armies, and get additional bonuses from territories, and letting units get special abilities, there will be some games when someone will be completely outmatched. - Those games are the funnest. (We do allow retreats any time during games to save your experienced units.) I can remember playing 500pts down from an Ork list, all in Rocks deep striking, With Ghazghul (however it's spelled) and watching my veteren units hold my territory. It really makes you almost feel for your units. Desire for them to live.

My friend has a seargant in one of his IG squads that will not die. He's taken more Lascannon, Melta, Assaultcannon, whatever cannon fire you can imagine than any other model i've ever seen. The model in now tricked out with Survival Badges (Along with some cool Bionics)

To sum up, Campaign, do them however you want, use cool rules, and just have fun. It really adds to the game so much the tourny play can take away.

in California state govt. may resort to IOUs as new fiscal year begins. It's a mess. on AMERICAblog
California has had the 2/3 requirement for over 40 years. We built the California University system and world class schools with that budget requirement. We don't have a taxing problem. We have a spending problem.

We threw out Gray Davis when we had a budget deficit ... then the state legislators continued to spend money that we didn't have. Assembly Member Noreen Evans says "living within our means, means nothing."

California has the most lenient welfare policy in the country. We spend 7 times more than Texas does on illegal immigrants. If we put a 10% tax on the money that's sent back to Mexico ($18 Billion) from illegals, we wouldn't have a budget deficit. If we actually did live within our means, maybe 2000 families a week wouldn't be packing up and moving away from California.

ndtovent I think enron was mostly responsible for the energy crisis in those years leading up to the recall. They totally buffaloed him and the rest of the people of CA - I think he got a bum rap over that fiasco.
benb Huh? You need to substantiate your claim that we Californians spend "7 times more than Texas on illegal immigrants". What do we spend it on? Education? Medical Care? And how much sales tax do illegal immigrants contribute? They pay sales tax...they pay property tax (through rent). How much productivity does California gain through cheap labor? It's easy to get all worked up about illegal immigrants from Mexico but they are engrained in our economy.

Mexico is the only country I know of that, through illegal immigration, actually pays for most of it's foreign aid from the US.

in Personal Democracy Forum Brain Dump on Natali Del Conte
It is interesting for speakers at a conference to discuss how information will revolutionize politics by informing voters in new ways... while the last campaign managed to have the least meaningful content I can remember. The internet was used to Organize voters and volunteers... but, I'm not sure they came away more informed.

As we move from mass media and mass society to a demassified set of micro societies, messaging will be increasingly targeted to narrower and narrower channels, down to the level of the individual. This makes it easier to make all the promises an individual voter may want to hear, but doesn't tend to make it easier to deliver the promises when the election is over and it is time to govern.

in Sprint takes a swing at high iPhone costs with ads on VentureBeat
Apple is very very very clearly aiming to be the "cool" guys in the tech industry. Microsoft might be installed on more machines, but it has most certainly become "hip" to own a Mac and bash Windows. The "I'm a Mac/I'm a PC" ads illustrate that pretty well.

"Don't cry, moan, whimper, curse god, or your opponent, just because you are losing."

I never feel bad when my opponent gets upset at an unlucky roll and has to vent a little, I just smile and think of the times my dice hated me. - That being said I think you're right about going overboard. I absolutely hate when people curse God when they play. I'd rather them tell me to F off.

That being said, I've found that being positive after my dice have hated me and things have been collapsing around me is one of the hugest tactical advantages I've ever taken. You are the moral of your troops and if you're pissed off and have lost a greater perspective then the game is as good as lost.

Staying positive will win you half the games you thought you would have lost.

in The Fed's Emails on Zero Hedge
I don't know how u read this, especially the FED TALKING POINTS on BAC...and not KNOW they were pressuring them BIG time to CLOSE it.

they multiple times in here STRESS that BAC and its management will NOT be favorable looked on by the MARKET AND THE REGULATORS/FED if they don't close

this is basically a mafia style veiled threat

every talking point is twisted to make ken lewis and BAC itself feel trapped into it

SORRY, but if they did a MAC and Ken admitted they didn't have enough time to do proper DD and that the losses were way beyond what they were sold on, etc...that truthful statement would have rallied the stock.

this is criminal what they put BAC thru. I see less of BAC trying to get govt aid and more like the FED being a mafia style enterprise via their professional emails. all they cared about is the system....vs shareholders
1 reply
*.* I agree with that part, unfortunately, it sounds like BAC needed some part of the govt backstop with or without ML. However, I don't know how anyone can read those emails and not know that every market is being completely manipulated in an attempt to jury-rig a recovery. It actually spells out in black and white that they were measuring market reaction and planning for programs to support the events that were unfolding or about to unfold.
