They fit me and aren't as expensive as Vicky's. Usually you can get a good deal, like buy one get one half off, or buy 2 get a free one. Or some such variation. I also just bought an Ambrielle bra and that one fit me well too.

Re: bookish (part three)

I just finished The Omnivore's Dilemma, which was GREAT, but now I'm on to some lighter fare with Confessions of a Shopaholic. It's fun! Considering I'm also dealing with a financial crisis, it's funny. I also saw the movie, which is very different, but funny. I like both.

Re: i’ll shred your face off

I totally know what you mean. Every time my boyfriend tells me I'm beautiful, I'm like "what the hell are you smoking? Are your eyes closed?" So yeah, I'm definitely trying to lose some poundage as well. I have been training for a bike ride, so I am definitely more physically active but I also need to work on my eating. We'll get there.
.-= Allison Blass´s last blog ..#324 =-.

Re: Things I Learned During Spring Break

I loved this. So funny. Except, you know, for you freaking out and whatnot. I think I prefer your Tumblr, though. It seems like a much better mix of "you" and gives me a slightly better perspective when it comes to reading about your relations.

- A fan.

Re: To All The Men I Wouldn’t Fuck

I wouldn't write half (more than half, actually) of what Lena writes on her blog, but if you don't like being "shocked" or whatever, then why are you reading this? You obviously like it as much as everyone else does - or you're a hypocrite. And so what if she uses her ad money for trips to Europe? What else is she going to use it for? Buying a house? And if you have been paying attention to Lena, her sex life is what she writes about. That's it. Get over yourself if you don't like it.

Re: Enough, now. I had no idea about the outting or anything mostly because I don't go around researching your life. All I know is from what you post here. I think most people are idiots and those that think your sex life is "dangerous" and that you need "help" clearly aren't paying attention and definitely need to be ignored. I'm 22, a virgin and a Christian (and probably the only one who reads your blog), but I don't think you need to be "rescued" because you seem to have a very good grasp on your decisions and are more self-actualized than anyone else our age.

But it does seem like this causes so much emotional burden for you that I hope you are thinking carefully about whether to close this blog. If you do, I won't be surprised, and I doubt I will miss you for too long because you are a talented writer with a snarky sense of humor and I wager you'll find a creative writing job or be publishing books in no time at all.

I always believed that life is too short to do something that makes you miserable. Just my opinion, of course.

Re: Enough, now. It means to develop or achieve one's full potential. While I don't think Lena has achieved her full potential (nor do I think any 20-year-old has done so...) I do think that she has a better understanding of what she wants out of life and is working to achieve that than most people. She has a firm understanding of what she believes in and she has a goal of being a writer, and thus she is pursuing that both here and in other areas - internships and freelance writing that she's done in the past.

Re: Enough, now. If you paid attention to anything she does, you'll realize that Sex and the Ivy is not the only places she writes.

And I think it's funny that you call anonymous people "piranhas." You do realize that's what you are, right? Proud of yourself?

Re: Would Advertising Offend You? | Social Media Explorer

I've been thinking about the exact same thing for my blog!

For your blog, personally, I wouldn't care since 99.9% of the time I read via RSS - the only time I've been to the site is to comment (such as now). My main problem with ads is when they are big and flashy, and get in the way of the actual blog material. I think if you can organize the layout in such a way that the ads are viewable but obnoxious, then you'll be fine. I think it would be cool if your ads were for unique products and services, like start-ups and individuals who are getting started, instead of lame Google ads that don't say anything interesting. I think having an editorial policy for ads would be good too, same as bloggers who have editorial policies for pitches and the like.

Re: Ms.Pixel Goes to Jeff Pulver’s Breakfast in NYC

Thanks for the link! It's at my blog... www.lemonade-life.com. Just click on the 101 Things tab at the top. You can see my progress. A lot of my goals are long-term goals, like books, movies, travel (5 new states!), losing weight, going to church for a specific amount of time, reading the Bible, etc. So it doesn't look like I've accomplished much but I've already started a lot of them. My 101 days will end about a month and a half after my 25th birthday. Then I'll probably start it again. I really like it! Keeps me from being too lazy, especially since *everyone* can see my progres.

Re: Success is a State of Mind

When I asked "how do you define success?" I did not mean "what is successful?" and had nothing to do with whether or not I consider myself successful (and I do consider myself successful). Success means having a specific goal and reaching it. What I meant was, are you looking for people who are successful with a particular career or ambition? You are a graphic designer and your immediate example was graphic designers that you like and follow, so did you mean you were looking for other 20somethings who are successful at graphic design? At this point, I"m assuming your answer is no, you're looking for everyone. But your post, and your tweet, weren't exactly clear.
