Dude, this is the best freaking thing to happen to my blogging life. I won't dump the other blog, but this one sure is more convenient. I had checked this out when it first hit the web and wasn't too impressed. Looks like they have come a long way since then. Thanks.

I hear you on the standard headphone jack. I reviewed a Nokia 5310 and a 5610. Similar phones, except that the 5610 had a better camera. However, the headphone jack was only standard on the 5310. Totally killed my desire to own one.

That kid is adorable. I remember how weird it was when mine came. You know them so well, but you don't. It's a strange, yet truly satisfying feeling. Props to mom for hanging in there for 21 hours! And props to you, Jeremy, because dads never get props when kids are born. :)

Any idea what grocery store this was? What a win-win idea - the grocer sells product, the food bank gets stocked, the customer feels happy to help someone in need. Great visual concept as well.

My biggest motivation is forgetting my camera. I always come across great subjects and then realize my camera is at home. I really need to stop forgetting it.

If so, does it then become more about the process than the product?

The division between professional and amateur, to me, seems to be based more in specific terminology than results or process. There's also the point of deciding whether or not to include "artistic value" into the professional equation - if process dicates professionalism, then artistic value has no place. If this is the case, then are all artists amateurs? How could you have a professional artist? What about the painter who regularly sells their work for $2,000? Are they professional simply because they make more money with their work? Or is it because of the business process by which they make that money?

I love stuff like this. It's funny and confusing. I'm more apt to go with the system Niels mentions - that of beginner, intermediate and advanced. Even then, there's likely to be a problem, as I can classify many alleged professionals as intermediate level. Like art, I guess it's more subjective than objective, really.
