Well Sir I think it's an interesting point. But I'm not quite sure about how you propose the interplay. For example, what happens in the case of James Gandolfini? How do you escape such dogma?

This reminds me of a recent episode of This American Life where they spoke of Jerry Springer and his attempts at going back into politics. Worth a listen!

@Alex Hillman:It seems to me that while the internet has definitely connected us and given us a democratic platform for voice, the amount of content we can physically consume hasn't changed much. As a result we've generated a great amount of extra content... most of which gets undiscovered (thought it might be great) and a lot of which is just noise.

So, would you share your thoughts on selectivity, noise, and voice? How do you advise we be more selective on what we intake, while not excluding or becoming ill-informed...

Also, I recognize socially driven news services (like Digg) and algorithmically driven content feeds (such as those in Facebook) have done this a bit. But what about in other spaces... blogs and twitter, for example?

Hey Andy - I've had Sammy's Halal a few times. I agree with you, it's great. And perhaps one day we'll cover it for the show.

We new we wanted to cover one a Halal Cart near to the beginning of the series and had trouble deciding over Sammy's, The Halal Guys, Kahns, or Qwik Meal. Ultimately we went with The Halal Guys because of the culture that surrounds the cart.

Good questions Bear -
I spend around 15 hours per episode. A total of 25 man hours, if we include the production crew.

My guess is that if you were to replicate this production, you'd be incurring costs of around $3500 per episode.

Besides having the color just slightly saturated when we shoot, we don't enhance it post production. :)

Haha! No. Generally I'll only take the bites necessary for the camera. We usually have multiple plates ordered for the shoots as we record multiple takes. But it's not uncommon for me to be shooting five episodes in one day! So I most certainly couldn't eat that much. :)
