I agree with our President that biracial,multi-racial is simply seeking exclusivity. There are so many combinations which can be derived--Asian & White; Black & Hispanic; etc... None of these combinations have anything in common with one another culturally. There is no common history, no common experience. Personally, biracial/multi-racial has no context for me.

This was my 1st time seeing the Q & A. I understand completely why Obama had to cut the cord. Rev Wright completely played the fool and he HAD to know better. It was appalling and unprofessional. If he felt angry and needed to get back at the MSM, this was definitely not the time or the way to go about it. He had some good points which should have been stated in a dignified manner but instead he acted like one of the corner boys. I only hope this does

This is not to defend the NAACP but I do want to give you another perspective. This election was never really about race! There was subtle race baiting at first and in the last couple of months it became overt. By that time Obama was too far ahead for Hillary to catch up but it was close. Obama tried really hard not to be cast as the black candidate and he was successful. If Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the NAACP, or anyone else
had come out publicly arguing about

racism or racist tactics, I believe

we would not be celebrating Obama's

I see it a little differently.

Yes, they did start the race baiting before SC. I believe she had a near death experience after Iowa and panicked. When she made the statements about LBJ and MLK, she was making a crack on Obama's experience as a community activist and lack of experience to be POTUS. She & Bill just knew they had the Black Vote locked up. They had no idea we would react in the way we did. Same thing in SC. They appealed to the white vote, still thinking they had us in their pocket. They felt the only way they could beat him was to call out the racist white vote. With Rev Wright they tried to force Obama to leave his church and pastor because they knew Black people NEVER denounce their church. They thought Black anger over him denouncing his pastor would bring us back into the fold. After they realized we had left in large numbers they just went whole hog for the white vote, latino vote because they then had no other choice. Don't get me wrong, I am definitely not defending them. You don't play the race card unless racism is part of your belief system in the first place. It is almost impossible to beat someone who espouses a positive message without going negative. They not only underestimated Obama, they underestimated Black loyalty to them as well.

I agree, too much talk on gender but
most of the women were ONLY voting on that basis. She actually did better than I expected. I did not care for the phrasing she used in asking everyone to support Obama. It could have been stronger. I liked the way she warned against voting Republican.

I see it a bit differently. My problem was with the state taking it upon itself to prosecute a wealthy black man when no one had filed charges. It's the same old story where a wealthy black man is made an example of. I did not at all see it as a black female is valued less. Perhaps if she or her family had filed a complaint, I could view it that way. This will catch up with him eventually unless he is receiving treatment. That said, I do enjoy his music and I believe he is a musical genius.

If you read or listen to the entire speech he said this is a problem in America, not just black America, but ALL America. He was not pandering, it is his belief. It is the belief of most of us (AA). We know it is a problem. An entire generation of AAs
has been lost. You need to search within in order to discover the real reason this speech bothers you. Whether he gave the speech or not, all Americans see this problem and know the answers. This problem applies to white youth as well as black. It was the perfect speech for Father's Day and it was given in a respectful manner. He is trying to lift up the black youth

because he is black. Not voting for him would be a mistake. Surely

There is no other race I would choose to be. This means that I accept the good as well as the bad about Black people. I don't let the views of Whites or any others diminish my love of being Black. I do not need their acceptance, approval or validation.

Fox news does not have to make this up. It is a scientific fact that our community has 75% of children born out of wedlock. I don't see his speech as divisive or destructive.
Divisive or destructive to whom? Because Barack grew up without his father present, this issue is close to his heart. How hard is this to understand? I guess I will have to agree to disagree on this.

I am not saying he walks on water and I don't believe he is either weak or stupid. I always see the glass as half full rather than half empty. You have no proof that he was pandering as I have no proof that he was not. It is all a matter of belief and perspective. Some people have definitely stated they did not like him airing our so called dirty laundry in public. How would you have liked him to frame the conversation in only 30 minutes? It is a complicated issue
which could be discussed for hours.

This is typical of the thinking of many. I work for the federal government and white males wanted to have a white male month since there is Black History Month, Women's Month, etc.... The top executive (white female) decided to have a white male day-- of all things. Needless to say, that was stopped dead in it's tracks. This executive is still the top executive. I felt she should have been removed but she was sent to diversity training instead.This whole episode is still unbelievable
to me.

I read on another blog that Hillary
is banking on Barack being Black and therefore being unelectable. This
is why she continues to stay in the race. She believes the party understands this and so in the end they will choose her. That is why her supporters continue the race baiting. I hope this is not true
but only time will tell. She believes America is not yet ready for
a Black POTUS.

Either stick to the rules or split both 50/50. The claim is that the voters are disenfranchised. If only 1 Million voted in Florida, then all the voters who stayed home because they were told their votes would not count are still being disenfranchised. What she is really after is the popular vote count. Why doesn't she ask for the same deal in Michigan? People also
left their homes and voted. We know the uncommitted votes were for Obama. Apparently, not enough people voted in Michigan to overtake Obama's lead. Obama tried
to remove his name from the ballot
in Florida but Florida would not
allow the removal. Plus, she did
do some campaigning in Fl which was another violation of the rules. If the DNC caves in to her in Florida, they will not have a leg to stand on when she says she has been given the delegates, so why not also give her the popular vote since these people actually left their homes and voted. Always tricks
with Ms Clinton. It seems like the
DNC is trying their best to give her the election. We should writet to the DNC to express our opinions!
