in Stuck in the snow - atop a landfill on Granite Geek
Oh, yeah! What the photo didn't show was me wearing a glow-in-the-dark mint greem windbreaker (three sizes too small) over my jacket, with no hat and gloves. I conveniently left them in my car at the bottom of the dump.
The wind was howling and I could walk on top of the drifts without falling through. With Dave guiding me to the edge of garbage-dom, I looked down at the swirling drifts below me. I'll be posting that photo in the photographers' blog "on assignment." The only thing I missed with my camera, and frozen extremidies, was Dave slipping and testing the padding of his backside while negotiating a drift. Ouch!

in A photo recap of the 2008 ice storm on Nashua Telegraph
Not all of us are disappointed with the potential from this weekends snow storms. Although I don't want to lose my power, heat and water again, the storms will be an early Christmas present to us snowmobilers! Now, if we could just get those trails cleared soon.

in It’s deer hunter, it’s a garbage picker-upper…No, it’s a Telegraph photographer! on On Assignment
Wow, F2's. I used to shoot the F4's and the FM2's. Photographers coming out of school these days must think those cameras were invented right after the wheel!
Our company, The Telegraph, purchased the vests for our four photographers on staff, and a couple for use by the reporters. Taxpayers didn't fund our's, but if other state or federal employees are now required to wear them, it's at the taxpayers' expense. I think most of those workers are already wearing them on the roads.

Nice shots Corey!
I would have chosen the bottom photo as well. Top photo does have some action, but it's the placement of the subject, the color isolation and the numerous dinner boxes that make this a striking picture. I see the person in the background distracting on the other shot, and I like to avoid pointing. Bottom photo is very clean and simple, just what makes it more attractive to viewers. Well done!
