I think Tom is being a bit dramatic at 80% but you definitely will see a massive "realignment" of the market, possibly in the 40-50% band in my opinion.
When I look back at Irish behaviour over the last decade I am reminded of Viv Nicholson and her "spend,spend, spend announcement.
The change and expecially the speed of it has been quite frightening but we will dust ourselves off and rise again I am sure.

Great post Dennis and not just because I'm in it :-)
You bought up some very valid points, in a week where a friend bought a 50k motorcar for 20k this post drills home that we are in a recession but tightening of the belts and a little bit of clever accounting can easily see us out of it.

Last week here we sat down for a day and reviewed every single expenditure in the previous month.
result €2500 savings next month

keep up the bloody great work.

I think the address book isn't the issue
I think what Luca is suggesting is a multi-imsi sim, not just a roaming sim
So it has his home IMSI as a primary and a virtual IMSI pushed when he lands somewhere new
Heard someone was working on that
Not one or four countries, all of them
Now what was the companies name again :-)
(the phone book is already there as his numbers are in international format)
plus of course, sync with my friends in Funambol
