I'm in NYC now. Was 65 degrees yesterday, down to 40 and raining today. Flying back to MIA tomorrow, but then back here on Sunday.

thanks for the heads up. I drove by this place yesterday and remembered it being a furniture store or something a few months back. I just bought a house on 76th St, so it's good to know some good Cuban food is nearby.

I gotta get on those $8/lb stone crabs. Have had the ceviche over at the Green Market a few times. Why would anyone in that neighborhood not want the Green Market around? Like roaming crackheads and pimps are any better...

Living right around the corner, I'm thrilled about the Vagabond. Any word on those $10 grass-fed steaks? I've only picked up some bok choy thus far. I heard one of the tenters from the first week who was selling earrings and clothing is no longer welcome. I have to followup on why though.

I'm more and more proud of the Upper Eastside every day. I'm occasionally a flâneur, but just got a new beach cruiser. Today's Biscayne Times has a cover story about the restaurants in the area defying the recession. Have to crack that open tonight.

Any idea what's up with the Vagabond Motel, it was closed last weekend for 'renovations'.

On the southern border of MiMo, I heard Andiamo's is buying out the car wash part of their building and getting some indoor space.

Back to your meal, is that a Shiraz?

Your explanation above is a good try, but it completely mischaracterizes her statement.

"They’ve gotten too big and too expensive to taxpayers."

Implies that it's been too expensive for awhile now. This statement does not refer to a bailout that was coming the next day.

I work with alcohol and pharmaceutical companies on web work daily, their legal teams are pretty crazy about such things. Most want to know if you're of age and are extremely careful about storing any data.

They definitely target their marketing as you touch on above, but largely when someone visits an alcohol site, it's for a specific brand. Consumers rarely visit the distributor site such as Diageo, unless driven there by some other means.

I'm waiting on some of the higher end alcohols and wines to build online communities for discussing a particular year of wine, batch of whiskey (single barrel jack bottles come with a unique number), etc.
