in What to use Social Media to? on Bits and pieces about Social Media
I have to agree with you there of course. Microblogging is making it possible for every one to communicate, even those who doesn't have the writing skills, since it's only 140 characters needed.

in The White Island on Philippines Travel Blog
Such a paradise island! You know, we once were on our way to the Philippines and of course Boracay were included in our plans. First Malaysia 2 weeks and then Mindoro and Boracay + some roundtrips. What happened?

This was Jan 2005, The Tsunami did hit Malaysia were we should stay AND we both got pneumonia (what's the odds of that happening?) so we sadly had to cancel in last minute. It took us half a year to recover and then we went to South America in the autumn instead.

We have since then been tempted to make another try, but something else is always coming up for some strange reason.

Well, maybe some day - and then I'll remember the white island, so thx for the tip!

I agree with you on the threaded comments. I can't use Tweetdeck either. I have used Twirl earlier, but now I mostly use the FireFox plugin TwitterFox.

in Microblogs, here to stay or? on Bits and pieces about Social Media
It does look like Twitter has taken over now and if anyone else will succeed, they better offer something really different, fun or useful for the user to be able to beat Twitter.

in Call your credit card company before you travel on My Itchy Travel Feet
I call them too, because one time my bank did freeze my account when it reached a certain limit with withdrawals abroad. I had no idea of that limit before that.

I always have at least 2 cards with me, just in case something happens.

in Granada Part IV - The Alhambra on VirtualWayfarer
Great posts and photos, all of them. Thx for taking me with you on this wonderful tour :-)

There is so much to see in Spain and I'm so sorry that we didn't manage to see Alhambra & Granada when we were there last year.... We were up in the mountain to other villages though and I simply loved it!

I still have a lot to write about our trip there.

in Facebook: All Your Stuff is Ours, Even if You Quit on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
We're all aware of that if you put something in the internet, it's a risk,
but that doesn't mean that it's the right thing or even legal to just take it.

The Wild West is spreading everywhere. Soon it will be OK to grab anything that comes i your way - is not locked up or someone else is chained on to?

If I don't lock my car on the street, is it OK to steal it?

It will never be OK in my world....

I really don't like when serious (?) companies lower themselves like this.

Great post. I welcome this new approach and have been wondering why it wasn't already here a long time ago. Been waiting for it.

I've never understood why companies are so afraid of negative reviews. It's a great way to grow, to get better in what they're doing. If they wanna be good, who is better to judge it than the customer/guests?

They would win lots of kudos from travelers if they did meet the criticism with a professional approach - meaning: admitting that something isn't as good as they wish, but that they're working hard on it and changing it. That's real good PR in my opinion!

in MuchaCostaRica.Com - Photo Friday: Poas Volcano, Costa Rica on MuchaCostaRica.Com
Wow! Unlike your son, I think the volcano is more hot than your brother and his wife - even if they look pretty hot together too :-)

Must be a thrill to stand there... *sigh*

in Tips on European travel on Travel Generation - talking bout a generation
Great advices. I just want to add that you'll see more of the country itself from the train than when flying, so that's another advantage too :-)

Yes. It keep snowing. It's glitter in the snow. I don't like snow, but it's still better than the other wet snow glop we can get :-)

Xmas feeling? Definitely!

in My ideas and a possibility on Bits and pieces about Social Media
With the few details you have given I think it's sound like something worth trying at least, though it's a tough time out there right now. I also believe that if you really, really are burning for something, that you can boost it quite good. If you're not that passionate about it, do not do it: let it be, it's wasted time (and money) then.

andysp Thanks LifeCrusier! I'm a bit secret right now as I don't want anyone to steal my concept, but when I have it ready I will publish it.

in MuchaCostaRica.Com - MuchaCostaRica Weekly Round Up on MuchaCostaRica.Com
I can only agree to that, where did this week gooooo.....? Does this mean that I'm getting OLD? Because they say that the time runs faster when you get OLD. Noooo, it can't be that, it must be that when having FUN, the time flies, right? *giggles*

Oh, thanks for the shout out, that's so sweet of you :-) I recognize some good blogs here, but there are also many I don't know. Will have to check them out.

Hope you're having a great weekend too :-)

in MuchaCostaRica.Com - Close Encounters with 13 Animals in Costa Rica on MuchaCostaRica.Com
I wanna see all of these! Well, maybe not the croc to close up, but the others. though my fave's are the birds and frogs. we don't have Hummingbirds over here at all and the only time I've seen them were when we were in Paraguay and Brazil. We saw some cool frogs there too, but above all: heard their fantastic concerts in the night! Unbelievable!

Great thoughts and post. Why don't you offer your services to some education sources? Or maybe even offer private lessons...? I'm sure lots of elderly and handicapped people would love the idea.

Impressive trip you're making and you really have a lot of good plans! I HIGHLY recommend going to Iceland on your way back to US. It's like landing on another planet ;-)

Make sure to do some of the excursions, there is so much amazing sights to see! If I were going to US I'd definitely do a stopover at Iceland.

Gary Arndt I've been to Iceland before and really enjoyed it. This time I do want to get around the island a bit more. I also wish to take advantage of Icelands currency misery and buy cheap woolen goods.
