ewww.....the "anti government" talk........you're posting from a cabin in the dense woods of North Dakota aren't you? One surrounded by homemade booby traps and "no trespassing" signs. When you go into town for supplies...the townsfolk whisper but NEVER make eye contact...right??

They'll blame her for using it...they'll demand that in these hard economic times the Obamas use Dixie Plates...wait..no, the cheaper kind that you get from the Dollar Tree..and save on the water bill at the White House.

They'll be asking why the Obamas aren't drinking water out of the tap and why aren't they using Jergens soap from the Dollar Store instead of bottled water and organic soap.

LOL! See Reid's problem is that he didn't subscribe to the George Constanza theory of political bluffing: Its not a lie, if you believe it.
If you are steadfast enough, you can make people believe anything...Reid wavered...yeah, the law was on Blago's side...so what? If you really a bad azz, the law is just a formality in your way. Reid's a punk. Cheney may be evil, but he's a bad azz. Gingrich, Frist and Delay may be evil..but they're bad azzes. We just need some bad azzes that wanna do some good. That's why I like the President-elect, his VP and Chief of Staff....bad azzes who wanna do some good.

Dems on Blago: He Called Our Bluff
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Senate Democrats have no choice but to change their tone about Roland Burris becoming a U.S. senator because Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich "called our bluff" in appointing someone over their objections, a senior Democratic congressional source conceded Wednesday.
"We tried to send a political signal to Blagojevich that we would not seat someone he appointed. He called our bluff, in a reckless way," the Democratic source said.
A second senior Democratic source said that the issue had clearly become a "heightened situation" that needed to be dealt with and that Burris' face-to-face meeting with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Majority Whip Dick Durbin really helped to establish a "person-to-person dialogue."
Burris described his meeting with Senate leadership as warm and called Reid a "very warm and charming gentleman."
Burris also said former President Jimmy Carter called him before the meeting and told him, "Roland, you will make a great senator."

Jimmy Carter---he is a smart man, but gag me with a spoon. After this whole debacle, I have officially sworn off the Democratic party. Nobody has a spine. Everybody has been talking out there necks so much these past couple of weeks, I don't believe anyone anymore. Burris is a joke. Rush is a disgrace. Reid is a spineless wimp. And the CBC has become what Coates correctly coined the "Civil Rights Industrial Comlex." I am even disappointed in Obama because of this whole episode, though I realize that his hands are tied.
What a disgrace. I am ashamed of the Democratic party right now.

Politics makes strange bedfellows......indeed
WASHINGTON — A conservative watchdog group has sued the Senate for refusing to immediately seat Roland Burris as the new senator from Illinois.
The lawsuit was filed Wednesday in federal court in Washington on behalf of an Illinois resident. The suit was filed by Judicial Watch, whose lawyers say the Senate's refusal to seat Burris is unconstitutional.
Burris was appointed by Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (blah-GOY'-uh-vich) to the Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama.
Senate Democrats and Obama have said anyone appointed by Blagojevich, who is embroiled in a corruption investigation, would be tainted and should not be allowed to represent Illinois.
The Senate on Tuesday refused to swear Burris in with the rest of the new senators. But Burris said Wednesday he should be able to join the Senate soon.

I agree with this Judicial watchdog group. The US Senate is violating the very Constitution they were sworn to uphold by not seating Burris. Burris is qualified under the US Constitution and his appointment was legal.
Good for the Judicial Watchdog group and the Il citizen that filed.

Well if its true that they accepted in the neighborhood of $300k for the baby photos, that would mean they want to be public figures, so a certain amount of criticism about things like oh...being GIVEN a job without the proper qualifications, would be fair game.

Surely this will be on Olbermann's Worst Persons countdown tonight:
TOLEDO, Ohio – Joe The Plumber is putting down his wrenches and picking up a reporter's notebook.
The Ohio man who became a household name during the presidential campaign says he is heading to Israel as a war correspondent for the conservative Web site pjtv.com.
Samuel J. Wurzelbacher (WUR'-zuhl-bah-kur) says he'll spend 10 days covering the fighting.
He tells WNWO-TV in Toledo that he wants to let Israel's "'Average Joes' share their story."
Wurzelbacher gained attention during the final weeks of the campaign when he asked Barack Obama about his tax plan.
He later joined Republican John McCain on the campaign trail. At one stop, he agreed with a McCain supporter who asked if he believed a vote for Obama was a vote for the death of Israel.

Pilgrimology 101: Rules? What Rules?
(CNN) – Levi Johnston, the father of Sarah Palin's grandchild Tripp and fiance of daughter Bristol, quit his job earlier this week after reports that his lack of a high school diploma made him ineligible for the apprentice position he'd held since fall.
Johnston's father Keith told the Anchorage Daily News that his son felt the move was "the best thing to do to kind of calm the waters, so to speak," and that his son's missing educational qualification was "just something that slipped through the cracks."
"You guys are watching him so tightly," Johnston told the paper. "He's being treated different than an average 18-year-old kid. He has to do everything by the book now."
Palin herself called the report a "a political potshot taken at me," that could "destroy a young man's opportunity for work."

No, Mr. Johnston. In the real world people with GEDs don't get the opportunities the rest of us get and people in the real world get the boot from their jobs if they don't have the qualifications.

He has to do everything by the book now? WELL JOIN THE CLUB! Maybe he has an inkling of what it's like to be Black. WHATEVER! And I thought Palin was SO slef righteous and by the book. Again WHATEVER!

While there's a fair amount of criticism/controversy that the Palins/Johnstons have brought on themselves....people really just need to leave them alone, at this point.

Why won't he take the GED and be done with it. It was one test. Unless...he thought he might not pass it!

I pray the Obama Administration addresses racial profiling. I'm dog tired of unarmed innocent black men dying at the hand of police!
