Andrew, it is obvious that you are not questioning the Holocaust; if anything, you appear to be publicly pledging allegiance to it. This is your site, and your name is on it, making you a target for those, like Denby, who appear to believe that mere thoughts are punishable offenses. But for those of us not on public display who also desire to seek the truth about history -- it's all fair game, including 9/11, the OK city bombing, JFK, virtually all wars in the last century initiated with the help of false-flag attacks, the USS Liberty, the terrorism in Europe and the Middle East, and yes, the "Holocaust."

And I do get the purpose of your article -- you want to make sure that no one conflates one kind of heresy with another. Indeed, I'd be surprised if many truthers question the holocaust; it is such a widespread myth and the media is so controlled, that virtually no one even knows that there is another point of view. I didn't question the holocaust when I started out investigating 9/11, but after pulling back one rock after another and seeing so many slugs, it makes you start to question everything. And there is surprisingly not much evidence for the "official" viewpoint on _any_ of these events. If you want, I won't post here anymore. But if you saw the David Cole documentary, you would (privately at least) agree with me and join the rest of the truthers who have no "sacred cows."

"It is an undisputed fact of history that, during World War II, the Germans ran a network of prison and labor camps, both in Germany and in the territories they controlled. Into these camps were sent Jews, prisoners-of-war, resistance fighters, Gypsies, and other people considered enemies of the Third Reich.

The largest of these camps was the one called Auschwitz, located in Poland. Those interned at Auschwitz came from all over Europe and consisted of men, women, and children. Those able to work were used as labor for the German war effort. Auschwitz was liberated by the Soviet Army in January of 1945.

But that is where the consensus ends.

(For example, many former camp inmates, as well as American soldiers, still speak of "gassing" at the Dachau camp in Germany, even though it is no longer held that any [homicidal] gas chamber was ever in use at that camp.)

Still, the Holocaust is an event that has seemingly grown in importance since the end of the war, taught as fact...usually accepted without question.

But how do we know it really happened? What "proofs" are offered for those not willing to take history on faith alone?

What proof exists that the Nazis killed six million Jews?



None. All we have is postwar testimony, mostly of individual "survivors." This testimony is contradictory, and very few claim to have actually witnessed any "gassing." There are no contemporaneous documents or hard evidence: no mounds of ashes, no crematories capable of disposing of millions of corpses, no "human soap," no lamp shades made of human skin, and no credible demographic statistics.

What evidence exists that six million Jews were not killed by the Nazis?



Extensive forensic, demographic, analytical and comparative evidence demonstrates the impossibility of such a figure. The widely repeated "six million" figure is an irresponsible exaggeration.

Did Simon Wiesenthal state in writing that "there were no extermination camps on German soil"?



Yes. The famous "Nazi hunter" wrote this in Stars and Stripes, Jan. 24, 1993. He also claimed that "gassings" of Jews took place only in Poland.

If Dachau was in Germany, and even Wiesenthal says that it was not an extermination camp, why do many American veterans say it was an extermination camp?



After the Allies captured Dachau, many GIs and others were led through the camp and shown a room alleged to have been a "gas chamber." The mass media widely, but falsely, continues to assert that Dachau was a "gassing" camp.

What about Auschwitz? Is there any proof that gas chambers were used to kill people there?



No. Auschwitz, captured by the Soviets, was modified after the war, and a room was reconstructed to look like a large "gas chamber." After America's leading expert on gas chamber construction and design, Fred Leuchter, examined this and other alleged Auschwitz gassing facilities, he stated that it was an "absurdity" to claim that they were, or could have been, used for mass executions.

If Auschwitz wasn't a "death camp," what was its true purpose?



It was an internment center and part of a large-scale manufacturing complex. Synthetic fuel was produced there, and its inmates were used as a workforce.

Who set up the first concentration camps?


During the Boer War (1899-1902), the British set up what they called "concentration camps" in South Africa to hold Afrikaner women and children. Approximately 30,000 died in these hell-holes, which were as terrible as German concentration camps of World War II.

Actually, these were tragic victims of raging epidemics or of starvation due to a lack of food in the camps toward the end of the war.

Do I believe the Holocaust was fake? Well, I believe the worst holocaust (death by fire and radiation) happened in Japan at the hands of the Americans. People were evaporated in mid-air, turned to shadows on the sidewalk. There was another holocaust in Dresden - firebombing civilians in their homes counts as a fiery death, too. This is terrorism - killing civilians. Many jews died in the labor camps, too, but more toward the end of the war, when, sadly, supply lines were cut off by bombing, and food rations did not make it to the camps. Typhus spread (via lice), and devastated already malnourished people. The corpses shown in pictures did not die of gassing. Why delouse someone whom you're planning to gas? Why provide swimming pools, theatres, bordellos, and why issue currency to those you're going to extinguish? Why tattoo their arms? Why shave their heads? These were work camps making munitions for the war.

All the death camps in Germany were revised officially has being work camps. So now (officially) all the death camps were supposedly in Poland - conveniently off limits to inspection until after the fall of the iron curtain. All the so-called evidence for the gassing comes from tortured confessions and biased eye-witnesses. Many of the eye-witness claims have since been proved false (e.g., human soap, lampshades). There are no ash-heaps, no gas chambers, only buildings for delousing. It would take properly built gas-chambers to kill people - the cyclon-B supposedly used is not fast-acting and would have (if deadly) killed the workers supposedly pulling corpses out of the ovens. And those corpses would had to be buried or, even if burned, their ashes disposed of. And where could the bodies be burned? In open pits? Not possible. Too much oxygen and bodies wouldn't burn piled on top of each other. And there were fuel shortages, so why would the Nazis use fuel needed for the factories to burn humans?

Google "David Cole interviews Dr. Franciszek Piper" - often the video has been pulled, but text or a torrent will still be available. There's no evidence of ashes or even any disturbance of the ground at Treblinka (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCwpjsS-6H4). Auschwitz officially revised downward their death toll from 4 million to 1.5 million, still everyone talks about the 6 million.

The number of jews who died is estimated to be closer to 700 thousand -- still a horribly high number. Why did it have to be artificially inflated? To help the cause of Israel? Perhaps. Curiously, the number of Jews in all of what was eventually Hitler-controlled territory did not even add up to 4 million, let alone 6.

The fact that anyone (political prisoners of any persuasion, communists, gays, gypsies, poles, etc.) died is wrong. Hitler was wrong to take territory. He was a slimey bastard. But inflating numbers is bad history. Truth is the cornerstone of democracy and freedom.

So yes, there was a holocaust. But a specifically Jewish Holocaust? No. Even more german soldiers were starved in camps _after_ the war by General Eisenhower. That's a war crime right there. The Allied powers and the Soviets had lots of crimes to cover up; blaming the Germans helped create a smoke-screen. The victors write history, ne c'est pas? And the Germans were so anal - they kept records of everything - why wouldn't they have kept records of some master plan to rid the world of Jews? The Catholic Church was silent on the Holocaust because there was none - no organized plan to kill Jews.

Mainstreaming MIHOP: New Polls Chart Progress of "Inside Job," Controlled Demolition Hypotheses

Since mid-2004, a series of scientific polls has shown high levels of support for the LIHOP (let it happen on purpose) interpretation of 9/11. According to this interpretation, top US officials knew the attacks were coming and intentionally allowed them to succeed.

But until fall 2008, no scientific poll in North America had found significant (double-digit) support for the hypothesis that most independent experts believe is best in accordance with the facts: That top US officials orchestrated 9/11, including the controlled demolition of three World Trade Center skyscrapers. This interpretation, known in the 9/11 truth community as MIHOP (made it happen on purpose) has now entered the mainstream, according to polls commissioned by the Barrett for Congress campaign.

In surveys of households with two or more registered voters, at least one of whom has voted in a recent election, the Barrett campaign found that 22% of voters in Wisconsin's conservative, rural Third District say that 9/11 might have been an inside job. And in a nationwide poll the Barrett campaign found that 33% in similar households either believe the World Trade Center was taken down in a controlled demolition, or that we need an investigation of possible controlled demolition.

What makes these numbers especially significant is that regular voters in multi-voter households are presumably on average older, wealthier, whiter, more settled, and more invested in the system than the general population. The fact that large numbers of such people either espouse or are willing to contemplate MIHOP suggests that the truth about 9/11 is slowly making its way into the US mainstream.

One seemingly disappointing result of the Wisconsin survey was that support for LIHOP was only 24%. Since earlier polls had shown higher levels of support for the proposition that top US officials intentionally allowed 9/11 to succeed, this result suggests that belief in LIHOP is growing very slowly, if at all. By contrast, the same polls suggest that support for MIHOP and controlled demolition is growing rapidly. What might account for this disparity?

Perhaps LIHOP is an inherently unstable position, due to both its theoretical improbability and its many tensions with the empirical facts. If this is the case, we can expect people to fall off the LIHOP bandwagon and either embrace the full MIHOP "inside job" position, or return to a guarded acceptance of the Official Conspiracy Theory (OCT).

LIHOP's theoretical improbability is obvious upon reflection. Is it really plausible that top US military and intelligence officials, especially those who avidly desired a trigger event to launch pre-planned wars, would, upon learning that by an amazing coincidence just such an event had been planned by their enemies, decide to simply look the other way? Had there been actual hijackings on 9/11, the hijackers could have dive-bombed nuclear power plants and rendered much of America's most populous and productive region, the eastern seaboard, permanently uninhabitable. Such a genuinely disabling attack, while it would serve the purpose of actual enemies, would hardly be considered an acceptable possibility by US strategists.

All military thinkers, whether they are radical Muslims who want to bring down the US empire, or neoconservative radicals who want to unleash the US empire, know that the only successful military operation is one that decreases the enemy's desire and/or ability to fight...or increases one's own fighting capacity. 9/11, as would have been obvious to its planners, radically increased the US capacity to fight, by rallying the American people to a "war on terror." No anti-imperialist Muslim would be stupid enough to do that. Nor would any US strategist be stupid enough to "look the other way" and allow a kamikaze attack from the air to go ahead, given the possibility that such an attack could be genuinely disabling if nuclear facilities were targeted.

LIHOP is not only theoretically untenable, but also at variance with numerous facts, the most important of which fall under two rubrics. First, there is no evidence whatsoever of involvement by extremist Muslims. Had Arab hijackers actually boarded the alleged attack planes, the evidence that they had done so (boarding passes, CATV videos, official passenger lists, testimony by airline employees) would have quickly been made public, alleged hijackers would not have turned up alive after 9/11, and Bin Laden and his associates would have quickly been indicted. Second, the controlled demolition of WTC buildings 1, 2 and 7 could only have been accomplished and covered up by insiders.

Given these and other problems, why have so many people embraced LIHOP? Psychologically, it is far easier to blame 9/11 on an external enemy, abetted by inaction or incompetence by US officials, than to believe that top US officials actually orchestrated the demolition of the World Trade Center with more than two thousand people inside. Those who accept LIHOP, like those who hold the incompetence theory, can continue to hate and fear the alleged external enemy, rather than turning their anger squarely on their own treasonous leaders. They can accept the paranoid "there are people out there who want to kill us" meme and its attendant Islamophobia. In short, they can remain more or less within the belief system that 9/11 was designed to inculcate, which is now the majority belief system in Western society. It is much easier, psychologically, to remain within hailing distance of the dominant belief system of ones society, than to step completely outside of it -- especially if stepping out reveals that belief system, and those who inculcate and espouse it, as utterly and irredeemably evil.

In short, MIHOP is the "red pill" that moves people outside the matrix of the dominant us-versus-them belief system. MIHOP's penetration of the American mainstream is therefore an extremely important phenomenon.

What accounts for this mainstreaming of MIHOP? First, since 2006, a groundswell of expert opinion has grown up in support of the case for controlled demolition, and many of these experts have effectively presented the case in terms graspable by laypeople. Second, the 9/11 truth movement as a whole has strongly embraced MIHOP and made it the focus of most 9/11 activism. Third, the powerful emotional barriers that form the only meaningful impediment to universal acceptance of MIHOP have gradually receded as the shock of 9/11 dissipates over time.
