I feel much the same way after yesterday. I saw your post and was curious what you meant by using rudder to 'watch the mattress'. What are you having a hard time seeing in Mint?
Thanks for the comment. I just signed up for Rudder the other day to help me keep a closer, more frequent watch on my day-to-day finances (checking account balances/credit card balances/bills). Mint's weekly summaries, texts and other alerts are incredibly useful albeit not as real-time as Rudder's daily e-mails are. So, it's not that I prefer one over the other, they just both have different feature sets and I'm using them for different things.
Rudder makes it easy to see a real, tangible number each morning that factors in balances, bills, etc. sent right to my inbox while Mint gives me not only the larger, all-inclusive picture but also more data points and trending which is actually very helpful. Just not something I can spend time every day pouring over. Hope that helps.
