Correct! The main post would be akin to a blog entry and the following posts would be the blog comments. We treat discussion threads on blogs and on the forum the same, because discussion shouldn't be fragmented.

Hang on - we're pushing a new version to test online pretty soon.

There are a lot of true gains from having stuff. I think what Paul was writing about is just stuff for stuff's sake. If some stuff actually brings you value, such as music or books, then of course those are worthwhile. The bad stuff is the things that are accumulated just so we have them. Things we hang onto, purchase on sale, or collect "just in case."

Hi Slavo, Disqus is working to address the more unattractive bits of blog discussion. One of our focuses is granular control for the blog owner on who is able to comment. Is there anything you would like to see?

We'll coming up with a good approach to handling posting media in blog comments.

For now, if you view this thread on the forum (follow the link at the bottom), you are able to embed images with your new comment.

The display sorting can be changed by the owner (Fred :). By default, it's sorted by the hottest comments (the most popular comments at the time). Also, the entire comment thread is viewable here. That link just allows you to view it in the context of the blog's full forum, so you can start a new topic that isn't in response to the blog entry. Thanks. :)

Thanks for the suggestions, Sameer. We build the implementation to be as noninvasive as possible, but we're always improving on this. I wasn't able to replicate those JS errors -- I'd appreciate it if you sent me the details at daniel@disqus.com (Sorry I wasn't able to locate your contact info).

you can help decide by voting up or down. the default sorting method is 'hottest' which is the most popular at this particular moment, but it can be viewed as newest, nominal best, etc.
