I've always been a big fan of Nike+ (and tracked hundreds of miles with it), but lately I've been using Nokia SportsTracker on my N95. It's still in beta, but the latest release is pretty impressive. It also let's you see real time workouts

Jannard confirms the hybrid DSLR design in a more recent comment on the in Development message board: "Future cameras will shoot ultra-high resolution stills and motion... :-) Jim ". Can't wait!!!

yah I've got high hopes for the G1! The 5" x 3" touch screen is impressive, as is the 3-mp camera, keyboard, and UMTS. Honestly, I can live without GPS and the other flashy demos we've seen as long as the user experience is open and seamless, something which seems core to Android. Fred, your vision of a device that's less phone and more "a mobile browser that supports voice" is spot on...

surprised to see that 10 of the 16 had a global market focus, thanks for pointing that out. I'm interested in hearing you compare that trend to the focus of the companies in your Berlin meetings today, which have traditionally seemed to be more global in focus...

Since moving from the west side, the H&H on the east side (2nd & 81st) is my new favorite. whole wheat everything with Lox... doesn't get any better than that!

I use my N95 pretty much exclusively for photo/video capabilities. I've had some major frustrations with it hanging/crashing, particularly when using Qik. Overall it's a great media capture device, but i wish the 3G support was better here in NYC.

who do you see as most exciting in the immersive space these days? i'm really liking the emerging mobile apps seeking to intelligently consume these datasets (mostly Android prototypes to date)...

Fred, this is where i think the 3G iPhone stands to make a huge LBS paradigm shift... There are plenty of GPS and/or triangulation enabled phones that can tell you where you are, and plenty of location-centric mobile apps that hinge on place, but the missing piece has always been seamless usability. If spatial context is elegantly handled behind the scenes, then these mobile apps become truly usable (unlike those where you have to manually enter place: whrll, brightkite, etc..). i'm really hoping outside.in can harness the potential.
