They are figuring it out. Have you seen the notice going around about Facebook using your images in ads, implying you endorse the product or are somehow associated with it?

Also, have you heard that FAcebook sends nasty note and pulls down personal videos and audio including copyrighted content (e.g., daughter playing a Beatles song on the piano) . Would you be willing to pay a sub that included right to use an amount of licensed content on your page?

Re: Monetize The Audience, Not The Content

what does this mean for facebook? it's the audience's content that's in play here..

Re: Vic russo, you left this behind!

so, where's the keys? :-)

Re: Conductor Raises $10 Million For SEO Management And Optimization Technology

yea, jack gilbert is gone dude - the coast is SO clear for that.

Re: Email Fail

took me a while, but once you get hang of gmail, the keyboard shortcuts and blackberry or iphone client, you won't look back.

Re: http://www.avc.com/a_vc/2009/04/earning-your-media-continued.html

Hmm

Twitter is working on that

So it bit.ly

I wonder if that will be a distraction though

Re: http://www.avc.com/a_vc/2009/04/earning-your-media-continued.html

real good deck, and funny.. what about measurement? accountability? how do you know if you earned it or not?

Re: Fred Wilson Dot VC

hysterical -- i'll take a 6-pack

Re: The Book Market Stares At Ubiquity

well said fred.. i totally agree.. not sure if the kindle is purely disruptive, but it's a game changer. it's also great to email PDFs to your kindle (email@kindle.com) and read them there!

Re: Kodak Support Sucks

it's a train wreck.. my frame still doesn't do what it was supposed to.. i need to sort of reboot it daily

Re: Friendly Intelligence - December 29, 2007

I bought it last month only, kind of loving it, hope the love lasts for a good three or four months! I'm hurt...
What you need is categorized under UPNP and DNLA. You need a music rendering device like the Roku Soundbridge M1001 (I have 2 - and even convinced Baljeet to put one on his wedding registry).

Then you need music server software (I use Twonkyvision, because it can run server side on my NAS, so my PC's don't even need to be on. But it can work with the iTunes Music Server (included with iTunes) as well.)

All my music is stored on a NAS drive (using a Netgear ReadyNas - fans are a little loud).

Re: Home Networking Paralysis

haha.. i took the bait, but i'm in a similar bind, so looking fwd to you being my guinea pig.
