The sale has made me a bit nervous, I am just a domain/hosting customer but still. It's a bit of tedious work to move again. All said I was always happy with the service and support. I liked to support local too. I hope to remain a customer.

For the future I will say, don't expect to have everything polished for the start. In fact I think you shouldn't. Sure you've got some experience now but even over a period of a few moths that could be vastly different from what it looked like with Orpheum. Also I think the people you really want as customers will be lenient of the hiccups as you work to constantly improve!

Thanks for the follow up. I don't always agree with your views but I love that your out there doing what you are. Would love to see more links in your posts, it is the point of the web!
I don't agree that turning off comments is the solution to the problem. Sometimes it is but, I think as a very last resort. Have you tried, or thought about, turing on moderation? Yes, it REALLY sucks that folks, trolls, are out there ruining it for the rest of us who can civilly disagree and go on with life!

We can both use it, then we have a backup if one fails and can still split it to get the same effect if they both work! Wonder what will happen with more then two people.

It's not reversed. I've tried sorting them in iTunes by a pile of different criteria but can't find out one that matches the sort on the phone. For now I'll live with it. It's only a both for podcasts and hopefully we'll have a CastRoller (http://castroller.com/billd... App out soon so I don't need to sync them.

Liner Manufactures use Radio Frequency Heat Sealing to "weld" liners together. The machines are not portable and can't be used in the field. The material also can't be in any way dirty, the RF is extremely sensitive. In the field there are glues that can be applied otherwise heat sealing, using a hot air gun, is the only option. Either way you might want to test the application first. In my experience vinyl holding air doesn't work that well.

Half the people I used to follow I felt compelled to follow. Putting on events like Geek Dinner and PodCamp London made me feel like I had to be following a ton of people. I've come to realize that I don't need to. And, if someone gets mad at me for not following, or unfollowing, I don't need them.

Have a Kindle 2 and LOVE it! Kindle 3 is on my wishlist (wifi needed for sending web articles from Instapaper (in Canada)). Used to have an iPad, liked it but I just wasn't using it. Hurt my eyes to read on it, the eInk is nice on the eyes, and there was just too many other things it could do to distract me.

I have lots of book, one shelf left to be read and they are collecting dust. I travel enough that it's already paid its self back in savings for over weight bags! I've even bought the e version of a few things I own in print I like the reader so much.

Most have a screen refresh that takes a fraction of a second to reload but you get in a rhythm as to when to hit the button just as your coming to the bottom of the page so that it'll be refreshed by the time you get to the top.

I know of a few book nerds that also can think of going back to print after using a Kindle.

You might want the screen real estate. That is my only grip with this guy
(11"). Otherwise I'm guessing the weakest machine would be more then capable
but the performance is always nice.

I did a backup, had to switch my PHP version then clicked the built in
upgrade to WP. After the core upgrade I upgraded all my other plugins,
though I only use about 5 and only two had updates.

I agree and try to buy local. Usually it's hard and I try to stay AS
local as possible.

Partly my point is telling people to get up and GO to work. We can't
just do the easy stuff and leave the hard things to someone willing to
work and work for less. It's more then just a problem with work, our
society doesn't like to do things the hard way. Always just want a
pill to take care of the symptom.

I have found that for one big business can say buy local but when it
comes down to it in a board room decision they'll still go off shore.
I personally have a lot of experience with it. Yes the quality sucks
but usually the products get better quickly and most consumers don't
complain when they see the price.

Everyone talks about supporting local economy until it hits their own
pocket book. Just go to Walmart, more then a few times I've driven
through one of their parking lots and seen a "Like your job? Keep
buying foreign" bumper sticker!

Not really. It's more a matter of spending the money for the hardware.

OSX isn't an option for her and neither is Parallels. To spend more to
get the Air then just blast away OSX is a waste. I'm a HUGE fan of
OSX, enough so I was running a Hacintosh Dell Mini for a while. That
isn't a great option either, I was never 100% comfortable that it
wouldn't totally die to make it my main machine.

The Air form factor and OSX that is stable even at the high price is
what makes the package compelling. I'm not convinced that it's worth
it to run windows on. Maybe it is, I never thought about it much.

I was doing that at work and moved away from it. It's far less then
ideal and not something 95% of people could handle. There would be a
lot of sleeping on the couch.
