Loved it and enjoyed chatting with you, too. The show absolutely rocked and should be a regular feature or series, I hope.

Re: The Entertainment Gathering - How to Hang with Bezos, Yo-Yo Ma, and More

Really does sound great, hope they have great attendance and people learn plenty.

Re: The Entertainment Gathering - How to Hang with Bezos, Yo-Yo Ma, and More

Tim, want to put up link to interview with you about Trial by Fire but not sure it is allowed here. I'll check back and you can let me know. Reason for confusion: this is your blog and my article appears on a site that does allow ads but has major Google juice so I'm hoping that it gets extra viewers for your show, which rocked! I just don't know the TOS for your site yet.

The show -Trial by Fire, hope people write to THe History Channel and request a repeat. It has a permanent place of honor on my Tivo and I've got a watch alert set up for the title.

Re: BIG NEWS and Sneak Peek - Tim Ferriss TV Show Debut 12/4

Bought your book and the one by Seneca, too. Would appreciate it, glad to do whatever I can to keep a quality show like this on the air.

Re: Happy Holidays And Thanks

I'm looking forward to hearing more about those charities and hope you keep us updated. Wish I'd seen them before the election...as it was, streaming the election (especially in specific locations) was actually happening this year, thanks to sites like yours and efforts to get out the word. I'm off to visit TVR reporting tools...better late, I'm hoping...than not at all.

Re: Twitter: Show Me Added Value if You Want Me to Pay

I'm so glad you got me up to speed on this. Just when I think I might finally have the whole Twitter thing down, this comes along. $60?! Now, in a recession?! I'm bookmarking your blog. It rocks!

Re: Trendspotting – Finding Opportunity in Career Uncertainty

As a journalist by trade, frantically pedaling to adapt to an online platform more and more, I would like to see your new web community preview when it is up and running or in Beta testing. Most of my work does not come from the traditional print publications I used to work for. That has its pros and cons. I miss my old editors but I don't miss the inability to get breaking news out there quickly. I'm not on your level but I do cover local news that might be missed by major publications or a specific take on a national trend. There is interest in that.

I'd like to also note that social niche networks do work but I believe they work only if people are truly engaged in them and not just using them to spam people. Relevant info and good comments as well as a two-way communication and helpful tips for all will automatically get people to network with one another. If I share a freelancing tip with another writer, that writer is more likely to check out my sites and how I am doing . I am likely to do that if someone is equally open with me. Friendships and connections build but they are often (as you note) in specific niches. Time is a factor.
