in Working with large assemblies on Jeff's Tool Shed
Jeff,
You certainly are pushing the envelope by designing buildings in Solidworks. Not too many people are, so it must be quite a task to manage. Too bad your not able to share the design with the world.

in SolidWorks World 2009 here I come! on GabiJack.com
Gabi,
It may seem like a perk that you have received, but it truely is something you have earned. Imformative posts, how-to's, and showing others how to use Solidworks is what people like to read. You have done a fine job of that. I can even say that I have picked up a few tricks here and there from your posts. You will have a fun time at the CSWP event, i'm glad you will be there. See you in Orlando!

in Who should I interview? What to ask? on Jeff's Tool Shed
I did'nt make the list? Strange. Anyhow, Wilkinson is always fun to chat with, Suchit usualy has lots of insights into future happenings that he may be able to reveal. Feilder Hiss is a pretty technical guy with lots of insight, and if you want someone very exciting and fun to chat with, Marie Planchard for sure. See you in Orlando!

in SolidWorks Users Crave Useful Add-In. Get Presentation Studio on SolidSmack
Josh,
You don't need the Command Manager turned on to get the tool button. If you right click in any toolbar backround, there is a new toolbar called "Layout". That has the button you can add or place anywhere you like!

in I still don’t get it! on GabiJack.com
Gabi,
There was (and still is some) push inside Solidworks to make the software seem very familiar to Autocad users. The simple reason is they are trying to get users to switch. The issue becomes exactly what you are stating, and if an Autocad user stumbles through SW, then desides it doesnt work, essentially SW has shot themselfs in the foot while trying to do the opposite. Its a double edged sword for sure, but the focus should be on why its more beneficial to move away from Autocad and 2D, instead of focusing on how to make SW look and act like Autocad.

in SolidWorks 2009 SP0 Released on Ricky Jordan's Blog
Ricky,
Last week in Barcelona I asked both Mark Schnieder, and Feilder Hiss about the whole DVD install Vs download install. They both pretty much said that for the past few years the file that gets downloaded, is the same exact files that placed on the DVD. I was wondering if you had different information, or experiances?

in 3DVia Launches Shape2.0: Just a Google SketchUp Clone? on SolidSmack
The more the merrier in my opinion. I was going to download this, now that I think about it I should have so I could have had something to play with on the plane! Something like this really backs up John Hirsticks vision of cad for everyone huh?
