Didn't want to add links to the books AND my wishlist. But as you list out books you're interested in, they're not linked w/ your own affiliate tag. ;) Maybe you need to start a daily-show-books.com blog until they get the picture.

Re: burp.

Luanne Platter brought us these words of wisdom: "It *will* grow back."

Re: burp.

thanks for the compliment! I thought my old wussy ears wouldn't be able to hang with this crazy hard rock music, but I guess they (my ears) aren't quite willing to grow up yet! And you have awesome music by the way --- really great stuff! thanks for sharing!

Re: burp.

I have gone through several of these self-listening phases. My wife and I were just talking last night about how to make giving decisions together. This is a rad thing to look into, thanks. I was only familiar w/ http://www.prosper.com/ along these lines.

Re: Am I Left-handed or Right-handed? 23andWe Wants to Know.

Right-hand power? That would be awesome.

I'm thinking something like AdSense running in sidebar of Gmail emails and
blog posts, but instead of pulling ads triggered from keywords in the
email/blog post text it would be triggered by products mentioned in the
video or triggered by product shape/size recognition. I'm sure Google is
working on this now.

Re: Watching Dara Torres on Jay Leno Let Me See the Future of Online Video Monetization

One of my old bosses had this idea to make websites for movies where there would be screenshots of various scenes in the movie and every item within it could be clicked on and purchased. As I talked to him more about I realized his idea was very poorly conceived and he basically thought if we created this skeleton of a movie website on a shoestring budget we could pitch it to Hollywood types and make money. I was thinking... if that's your whole business model, and the movie company liked the idea, they'd just go make a similar site themselves.

All that to say, yes, this product purchaseability has to be extremely well integrated into video, and it's got to be everything mentioned or visible in every shot.

I'll be right back, I'ma go make that technology up, on a shoestring budget.
