I keep hearing this apple bashing of how stupid it is to upgrade from the 5 to 5s. "It's just a small upgrade", "What a waste of money", "I'll keep my 5". And to these people I say, it's not for you! MOST people I know are upgrading from a 4s to 5s. That's the 2 year buying rotation which 99% of us who buy phones on 2 year contracts have. And from an iPhone 4s to 5s. It's a HUGE upgrade.

You missed it completely. When were we ever talking about the use of force? We were talking about the legality of pointing a gun to stop a felony from happening. To quote my NRA instructor "Every bullet has an attorneys name written on it". Of course you should NEVER discharge your weapon unless you are in fear for your life. Why link statutes that have nothing to do with what we were talking about.

As a reminder "He would not be in his right to shoot them. But point it in there direction and wait for police to arrive..."

@franklingray Thanks for the post but there is no need to be rude. I'm simply saying that had he been carrying a gun this situation would have gone differently. Florida law says you can use a gun to prevent a forcible felony. 3 guys (lynching, felony in all 50 states) beating up another kid is grounds for him to pull a gun and stop the situation. He would not be in his right to shoot them. But point it in there direction and wait for police to arrive... from my limited knowledge of FL laws, yes, a good idea.

In response to #2, TRUE. But who wouldn't? It's called the music business. Sure as heck better to be successful than end up like so many washed up stars or one-hit-wonders. I mean, it's a career after all. She's gotta eat and pay bills just like the rest of us. Many indie/rock/punk artist are great, but struggling to pay the rent. I say make as much money as you can while doing something you love. It's called supply and demand. Supply the people with the type music they are demanding and make a heck of a lot of money while doing it.

I'm not sure that's really the point though. If you write crappy content, it's just noise. No one really cares about it. Sure you might get some hits or something but is that the point? Some blog about life and their thoughts. Others actually think through those thoughts to form rational opinions or even theory's about how some thing should or could be.

I guess were edging on the fine line of what exactly is the difference between journalism, blogging, and noise?
