ChatGPT4 is SOOOO much better at responding and providing information that I asked for. Bard feels "hampered"/"constrained" to me. Bard is also quite slow in "thinking" about its responses. ChatGPT4 has a feeling that you are talking/conversing with someone/something that listens to what I'm saying. Bard FEELS like a computer.

Funny example: ask Bard and then ask ChatGPT4 to tell you a joke. ChatGPT delivers the joke... waits... then delivers the punch line. Bard simply outputs everything AND THEN tells you why the joke is funny and explains the joke. (Um... if you have to explain the joke, it wasn't funny in the first place and also ruins the joke.)

(Or something more complex like asking Bard/ChatGPT to write you a lesson plan for a computer science class that deals with traversals. Bard's response is so basic that its unusable. ChatGPT provides solid lesson plans, it even includes illustrations, code snippets, assignment ideas, and more.)

(Or try something even more complex like asking both ai bots to write code to display a functional and interactive chess board on a website using html, javascript, and css. Bard fails to even get the chess board to look like a chess board. ChatGPT is able to get a movable chess board going along with syntax highlighting or the code.)

Re: How to convert images back to the universal JPG or PNG format now that Chrome saves them as WebP

What made you choose convertio.com over other sites like:
or
- https://cloudconvert.com/we...

Re: Take $530 off this powerful Ryzen 7 Lenovo C13 Yoga Chromebook

The AMD 4000/5000 series was a HUGE jump from the 3000 series. (Similar to the jump between 10th gen & 11th gen intel.) But this is just my opinion. So that might be why a Ryzen 7 3700 hundred isn't as fast as a 11th gen intel. Now if you were to grab a 5000 series Ryzen chip it might be a different story.

Re: Play 28 mini-games on your Chromebook with no download thanks to Gamesnacks

I'm a sucker for these time-sucks

Re: Acer Chromebook Spin 713 (2021) review: iteration towards excellence [VIDEO]

I had the 2020 713, but sold it and purchased the HP x360 11th gen i3 (2 core) (HUGE performance improvement). I now love the usage of the fingerprint reader and so that would be sorely missed if I swapped back into the latest 713. I'm just wondering how much of a performance difference there is between a 4-core 11th gen i5 (713) over the 2-core 11th gen i3 (HP x360)?

Re: Zoom is releasing a PWA specifically for Chromebooks on the Google Play Store

UGH... I just tried the new PWA... and its missing SO MANY things. The background "virtual background" thing is a joke. They just cut out a little circle of your actual camera and still show everything behind you. There is no method of activating the streaming to Facebook/YouTube. No settings for "original sound". The app doesn't "disappear/minimize" when you go to share your screen. In fact, I think this is almost worse than the original Chrome OS app for Zoom because its not usable for those that do webinars and need Zoom to "disappear/minimize" when broadcasting a screen. So disappointed in Zoom. I held out hope and the results don't match up to the competitors.

Re: Borealis, a.k.a. The reason? Because currently the higher end Chromebooks already have no problem installing steam on linux and then simply enabling the compatibility layer of Steam so the Chromebooks can take advantage of the lower end games.

Re: I canceled my Stadia Pro subscription and now I play Stadia more than ever

I'm finding I'm playing XBox Ultimate Game Pass MUCH more than Stadia.... so its possible Stadia will be cancelled for me in the near future since many of the games I'm enjoying playing are all on the web-based Xbox game pass.

Re: Chromebook ‘Everything button’ finds new ways to make the Alt key worthless

I miss the keyboard overlay screen that would show you all the key combinations. They could have done so much with that overlay in allowing you to customizing your key-combinations by long pressing the key combination while the overlay screen was visible it would bring up the edit/change option. Would have made an amazing method of visually remapping your keyboard. But alas they ditched a useful tool like numerous other Google products.

Re: The MediaTek-powered Detachable Chromebook CM3 is officially available from ASUS

I was talking about the regular Brydge keyboard since that's what I thought you were talking about. Whether its playing the horror/adventure "A Plague Tale" or MLB:The Show, I'm loving how flexible, powerful, and useful my Chromebook continues to become with resources like the Game Pass. I dropped/cancelled my nVidia Geforce Now account because the performance, wait time, and lack of developers supporting it. I now use Stadia and Game Pass for playtime and now that the Linux part of Chromebooks is becoming more stable, I'm finding additional usage down that rabbit hole.

Side note: If you install Edge (over on the linux side of the Chromebook) then you can use the "Rewards Program" and earn extra points for clicking on news articles and stuff. I'm able almost pay for the Game Pass Ultimate each month with just the rewards program. So far I haven't paid anything other than the initial $14.99... and that was 4-5 months ago.... each "renewal" has been covered by my Rewards Points. But you have to use Edge to get the maximum amount of daily points.

Re: Deal Alert: Grab the Lenovo USI Stylus for your Chromebook for $30

The 10th gen 713

Re: HP debuts first-ever “Works with Chromebook” desktop monitor

Exactly... if a monitor has no mounting capability it has no business being on my boat!

Re: Many more Assassin’s Creed games come to Stadia as Ubisoft+ beta expands availability

Probably the same with if Steam went away (all your games would go away)... if Ubisoft+ went away... all your games would go away... if GOG went away... all your games would go away. The only way you can "keep your games" is if you have a physical copy... but then there are always activation issues even with some of those. OR... just stick with playing a MUD game because those have been around non-stop for 20+ years. :)

To better answer your question, there are no "license keys" with Stadia. Your game purchase is tied to your Stadia account. So as long as your Stadia account and Stadia itself stays active, you will have access to the game.

But then again we could also get a massive solar flare that would wipe out all our computer systems and we'd be back in the stone age. :) (I think I've had too much coffee this morning)

Re: Deal Alert: Grab the Lenovo USI Stylus for your Chromebook for $30

The Lenovo USI Stylus works fine with the 713

Re: The Tiger Lake HP Chromebook x360 14c is available at Best Buy but you shouldn’t buy it

I had to pick up one of these 11th gen x360s because the CX5 I picked up had a fan that JUST WOULD NOT QUIT... even after shutting down the laptop the fan on the CX5 kept running. I'm pretty sure I had a faulty unit and so I returned it. But in order to have a computer to work on, I picked up this 11th gen x360 and am plesently surprised. Got over 57000 on the Octane score. It has the same snapiness of the CX5 (probably because both are dual core at a higher speed). And the sound is a HUGE improvement (even though I listen to most things through headphones). Just wanted to let others know that this is a really nice upgrade for the x360 line of laptops by HP.

Re: HP debuts first-ever “Works with Chromebook” desktop monitor

Wish it had VESA mount capabilities.

Re: Deal Alert: Grab the Lenovo USI Stylus for your Chromebook for $30

This is the stylus I have and love it.
