On a number of occations, it has saved whatever I drop from breaking.

Re: x ∞

I think a fear of infinity is just a fear of death in disguise. Considering anything that's infinite just reinforces the fact that we only have a limited life span.

Re: waste not, want not

Isn't this just being sensible?

Re: prepare for zombie battle

There was a fire at a warehouse near where my wife works and I was convinced it was actually a Zombie outbreak and the fire engines and police were actually trying to contain the Zombies and pretending it was a fire. In my head, I planned the rescue of my wife, our escape and worked out the best places in the UK to head towards (Scottish Highlands if you're wondering).
I think this is directly related to the number of Zombie flms I've watched recently.
One of the oddest things was that I was really hoping it was true.

Re: unquenched thirsty

I do exactly the same. Most fast food restaurants will train their staff to "upsell" each order so there is always an extra addition to each order.
Recently I have been getting infuriated that they do not show individual items on their menu in Burger King and McDonalds (and probably others) in order to suggest to customers that they only sell big meal combinations. In a similar way to the cmment above I now never order meals, only odd combinations of items that do not resemble a meal. Grrr.
I don't think this sort of thinking is neurotic, it's just a reaction to irritating sales techniques.
