The Czech manufacturer Mivvy (which already has an MSI Wind clone - Mivvy M310) has announced a new netbook with emphasis on stylish design - Mivvy L310.

Let me just add what is not evident from the English translation on the Eltrinex site:
- the netbook does not come with Windows XP, it is "optimized for Windows XP"
- you get an external DVD-RW drive (which costs about the same as Win XP, as far as I know)
- if the price seems high, let me point out that all netbooks are much more expensive here in the Czech Republic than in the US, so the Eltrinex price roughly corresponds to MSI Wind over here

Hey, you should look at the bright side - MSI Wind (3cell) is $800 here in the Czech Republic, so stop whining ;-)

You can still consider yourselves lucky - the 3-cell/Linux version of Wind sells for $700 here in the Czech Republic :-(
So $570 for the 6-cell Wind is actually a bargain outside the US...

The rebranded MSI Wind that should be sold as Mivvy M310 in the Czech Republic starting in August also has 2GB of RAM and 120 GB of HDD, and is going to be offered with Windows XP as one of the options...

You might want to know about this re-branded MSI WIND that should be available here in the Czech Republic in August:

Even though the site is in Czech, the specifications should be clear.
Let me just point out that compared to MSI, Mivvy will have 2GB of RAM and 120 GB HDD !
At first it should come with a 3-cell battery, but a 6-cell battery is already listed as an optional accessory.
From what I have gathered, the price (Linux/3-cell batery version) should start at around $630, which is about $130 cheaper than the Linux/3-cell battery version of MSI Wind available here (plus double the RAM and 120 GB of HDD space!).
This seems to be quite a competitor for MSI Wind in the Czech Republic ;-)
