i cant pick a big name like dixon, maybe ray parlour but when i think about it, i should really reject any one important. so then charlie george would be out too. but maybe george can still be in considering that he is a tour guide at the arsenal mueseum at the grove.

gavin hoyte is a good suggestion but im worried he might leave. i dont want to associate myself with someone who's leaving. i hear justin might go to villa but i would rather have him stay to back up the clichy and sagna. id rather have him stay instead of eboue but eboue has those compromising pictures of arsene so thats why he's still there.

i dont want to choose eboue even though he's a character because he might leave(if prayers are heard).

i think may be alex song is the best fit just because i only have to hold the backspace key for that many seconds shorter.
my real name really isnt alex though but it does start with an A.

ive also contemplated using homophones.

like tomas rose hickey.

give me a homophone for robin van persie

alex song, johan djourou, mark randall, armand traore, nacer barazite, thierry henry, Charlie G. (as in G for George), or Perry G. (G for Groves).

im personally leaning towards alex song, charlie G., or Perry G.

in Tell Us How EPL Talk Can Improve on EPL Talk
how about less posts about how the league should change. stop trying to americanize it with suggesting playoffs or a salary cap. less extreme conservatism as practiced by blogger michael please. he can write but he needs to consider a more neutral stance. instead of arguing for one thing, he should write about both arguments to let the user decide. he is too personal for a site that tries to cater to the masses.

correction billesheers,

2.ARSENAL v 7. Blackburn

But Michael, why not just rename the EPL the APL (American Premier League) or the MPL (Michael's Premier League)after its soon to be legend, revolution inspiring visionary Michael de EPL Blogger?

Playoffs would be amusing. We would have to have cheerleaders on the field and unlimited substitutions and a half time show featuring Elton John as well. Every year its just Elton John. Only him, or I have to turn the tv off.

The games would also have to be cut into 4 quarters. Instead of 90 mins, it would only ve 48 mins. There will also be timeouts.

There would have to be a distinct organ playing through out the game . The only tune would be the american national anthem. The fans would sit in their seats through out the game and the only chant they would sing would be defense defense, BUT only when directed by the cheer leaders. In between any whistle or stoppage, either for a foul or a goal or anything else, there would be loud music playing, and there would be two minute commercial breaks.

Every team would have a mascot, even Arsenal with a cannon that moves around the stadium shooting out t shirts.

A week from the final there will be a draft. Of coure, we would have players quit their academies after they declare themseleves ready and be part of a special player pool for the draft, sign with an agent, sign a lucrative boot deal, and get arrested for gun possession before they even get their first touch. This player draft pool will featue any player wanting to get into the league, even those pesky africans like eboue. Maybe if that was in place before, then Eboue would have probably been applying is amazing talent in Newcastle (still praying for that to happen) rather than making outrageous mistakes for Arsenal.

The players would all be on steroids and Crisiano Ronaldo would be sign a 300 million contract over 10 years for ManUre.

The EPL TALK MPL or the EPL TALK MICHAEL'S PREMIER LEAGUE.

Michael, you are a visionary, but where have we seen this before?

and yet we cant help but watch the league every year. We and so many others continue on watching pointless games. But in a sense, isnt everything pointless? What is winning a championship in sport when you know you have to do the same over again in a year and if you dont your championship will quickly be brushed aside for the new champions. What is the point in sport if it is nothing but trained athletes performing elaborate acts memorized by their muscular and mental orientation. What is it to be a fan than when you know you have no say in you club and you know that someone else is just as likely to buy your seat and you are quickly forgotten by your club? Sport is nothing but an elaborate form of entertainment constructed by modern human culture. Its this human culture that we are born into that guides us to make our decision and arguments. It is this human created foundation of a basis for living on this planet that guides our daily lives. We are nothing but animals in nature. Hence, for our lives as well as the vary nature of existence, there is yet to be an evident point of being.

I hope that makes sense Michael.
What I am trying to say is that maybe there is no point in your argument since you wont end up changing anything. And then what is the point of writing it in the first place? But then again, what is the point of me writing this since I know that my point is not strong even though I know I have no point.

That's my point.

i dont think barcelona really wanted it. they werent motivated . frank rijkaard is done. he still will have some team to manage in the future though. i think he woould be a good replacement for arsene wenger when arsene decides to go.

there really has to be some cleaning up at barcelona. ronaldinho, of course, but i think henry will probably leave. there is no communication between him and the others. i think eto could go to. i wouldnt be surprised if zambrotta went else where as well. maybe they will end up getting daniel alves from sevilla. samir nasri from marseille too.

oh its just a mess. so much talent, yet they didnt have the motivation.

in Are Hleb and Flamini Really Necessary? on EPL Talk
no no no., the point of mentioning kuyt was to say that kuyt is shit but why is he still in the mugsmashers squad?
like i said, hleb will probably leave. there isnt a very strong argument about keeping him except maintaing some depth in the squad.
flamini isnt irreplaceable. of course. we can always go out and sign a player in his place for 20 million pounds like xavi or gattuso but if we have flamini now, wouldnt it be better to keep him? there is no debate over his admirable perfomance this year and there is no question that we need him.

if flamini goes, it would be on his own terms, seeking out more money. that is understanable. a footballer's career is short and one rash tackle away from being ruined. if he leaves it wouldnt be surprising, but it is not because of us letting him go because we think we dont need him. wenger has to maintain a sound approach to salaries. if he gives flamini more, then other players will want more and these kind of things can lead a team to bankruptcy.

in Are Hleb and Flamini Really Necessary? on EPL Talk
i think hleb and flamini must stay. hleb is one of the best dribblers of the ball in the premier league. as far as fitting into our style of play, he is like a bee to our honey.
but i do think he will leave.
as for flamini, i think flamini is a very good player moving forward actually. he is one of our better passers and he's scored some important goals for us over the years. he covers the most distance every game. He is very instrumental in our passing. Very. His passing is also very consistent - he has attempted the 2nd most passes in the Premier League this season, with a higher completion rate than the 1st place player, his midfield partner Fabregas. You can look that up. He is like a Dirk Kuyt or Gary Neville, but more competent. He's a player not afraid to get injured for us to win. He rarely makes mistakes. Flamini is also more successful than Mescherano is tacklining since he gets less cards than Mescherano and he doesnt have a loose canon for a mouth. He shows a sense leadership as well. I believe he is a potential captain for this team. Arsenal need to keep him.
Why does liverpool and manUre keep kuyt and neville? They aren't the best players United can put on the field, but they are still kept on the team. Something has to be said about keeping the chemistry and morale high within the squad. Flamini is friends with Fabregas and Rosicky. They triplet has been seen at many events together and they seem to flock next to each other on the sidelines. With Fabregas calling on Wenger to keep Flamini, Flamini is essential to maintain the morale. Something also has to be said about squad depth. We will probably lose Gilberto and if we lose Flamini, we will be down to Abou Diaby and Denilson, two unproven candidates for the position along side Fabregas. We need to keep Flamini to keep a proven option in the starting eleven.

in Benitez Is Right To Rotate Lineup | EPL Talk on EPL Talk
i know i know i just talked about arsenal but the same should apply to liverpool if there isnt anything left to play for in the league this season.

of course keeping a consistent starting 11 is needed to keep the chemistry in the team, and the manager should pick the best player he has for each position when there is something to play for.
but the manager also faces the issue of upholding the morale in the team and that means giving other players a chance to play. with the depth that liverpool has, benitez is right for rotating. there are many personalities within that team and managing them is a top priority to keep the morale high. look at chelsea who doesnt seem to rotate as much. watching them makes it seem like there are alot of morale issues-things we dont see come out publicly. with the rumors of scuffles with the players and manager and players like drogba wanting to leave, maybe benitez would do a better job than grant because of his belief in rotation.
with arsenal, wenger's policy for youth is very understandable. he has an excuse of not rotating his squad because the young players know that they still have to earn the spot, so the morale is self maintaining. if arsenal went out and signed experienced players in their mid to late 20s, this wouldnt be the case. they would all believe they should be the ones in the starting 11 and the chemistry in the team would be rather bleek.

in Benitez Is Right To Rotate Lineup | EPL Talk on EPL Talk
but anyway, i think the young players should have a chance to play. i wouldnt be surprised to see traore, denilson, nordtveit, barazite, and fabianski to play our remaining games. the youngsters need to get match experience from somewhere. the fans should be happy to support whichever 11 is on the field because you live and die for the crest on the kit, not the name on the back.
