Nice scenery and not that crowded on weekends.</p><p>There are also a few pay ponds around if you like them too. I cant remember the name of the one we have went to before but it is nearby Mountaindale Road (going towards thurmont).</p><p>Another place is Whittier pond. Its not that bad but gets crowded at times...and there are alot of geese and ducks you have to step around.</p><p>its not in frederick, but we always have luck going down to Harpers Ferry.
