in Coroner’s Report: The Cell 2 [Blu-ray] on Film School Rejects
Not even worth a rent? Brutal. I like your review style though. I usually like crappy horror movies too. I recently told my wife "they gotta give us more than just some boobs and blood" which was in reference to the new Friday the 13th movie. I imagine this one is much worse though.

I actually liked the new F13 because I love boobs and blood. But this story really lacks tension and with the killer being a rather weak character, there's very little to keep your interest. Save your $6 on the rental.

in The Canuck iPhone: Apple doesn’t care on Mathew's comments
a $1000 bill? WOW. That is insane. I guess it'd be really easy to do if you didn't have a data plan.
Personally I'm not sure what all the excitement is about the iphone.

I like the bike in the snow pic. I'm sure many people here would be trying to ride it to work anyway :P

Wow I think he struck a nerve!

in Umm - What The Heck Is Steve Jobs Up To? Apple Files A Wacky 3D Projector Setup! on MarketSaw - 3D Movies & Technology
I was wondering if it'd work for more than one person too. If not I'd say it is probably monitor related. Filing a patent doesn't mean they ever plan to make the device either, simply that they came up with a unique idea and perhaps license it out.

Yes, Apple has learned the hard way about patents. One example is the round
selector of the iPod. Speaking of iPod, they have also applied for a patent
for a panel to be located on the BACK of a device that can be used as a
pointing tool on the front (which has the viewing screen) - that way your
finger / stylus does not get in the way of your line of sight of what you
are doing! Awesome idea.
If Apple is involved in 3D it can only mean great things from where I am
sitting.

in Livin' In A Sangster's Paradise: Tintin Lead Finally Cast? on MarketSaw - 3D Movies & Technology
This one could be great. I hope they don't screw it up. Signing up a different director for each one sounds a bit odd to me.

Ordinarily I would agree with you - but these aren't ordinary directors so
they basically have carte blanche. With the names involved it is a fairly
safe bet that their collective minds will produce wonderful cinematic
experiences!

in Lord Of The Rings 3D Closer To Reality?? on MarketSaw - 3D Movies & Technology
I don't understand how they can do that if it wasn't filmed in 3d in the first place?? The CGI scenes sure, but the rest?

Any 2D movie can be converted to 3D - even the old black and whites (which I
think would look awesome). There are companies around that specialize in
doing it, one of them is my sponsor www.passmorelab.com who can do the
conversion up front for a percentage fee later. Very interesting 3D
technology!

Of course it is impossible to tell much about the movie from a few images, but they look pretty nice. I imagine it'll be a great film.

Didn't you know that SEO is a bad word? Nobody says you have to use digg.

Did you know that comment spam by people who didn't even bother to read the article is frowned upon around here?
Whilst my site does cover marketing and SEO related content sometimes, I wouldn't dream of encouraging that content to be submitted to Digg in any way.
However when I write about other topics, such as various social networks, often my coverage covers a lot more angles than is normally presented on many technology blogs. I rarely get press releases sent to me, so all the content is 100% original material based on real usage.

in James Cameron's "Avatar" Secrets Revealed: Warning Spoilers ! on MarketSaw - 3D Movies & Technology
That's because 3d is so awesome. Everyone needs to just get on board. Our world is 3d, we need to stop settling for 2d tv. Hopefully 3d will be the next step after HDTV starts to get boring.

I agree Buck - 3D as the next stop makes perfect sense. With the new Laser
TVs coming out that support 3D (high resolution, illumination and
polarization at the light source) we shall see superb 3D home theaters setup
within 5 years. My guess is more like 3 years for Laser; earlier for LCD and
Plasma solutions (although not the pinnacle of home 3D). Can't wait to
obtain and test out these solutions as they appear on the market.

I'd need a really big house in order to have one of those put in and not have it disturb the people in the theater. :)

When they did the flashback to every "best picture" winner I was surprised at how few of them I had actually seen. I think I may need to turn in my "movie geek" card.
