Despite them making an HTML version, I still don't like either version. I much prefer Arsenal and Manchester United's web pages to Chelsea's. IMO, they are leaps and bounds better.

I kind of liked him as a commentator. I used to enjoy listening to him and Seamus Malin on ESPN, doing World Cup and Champions League coverage.

I definitely like the new logo.

LOL Nice. I always wondered what that celebration was all about. Interesting that they play against each other in the game. I can only imagine the trash talk that goes on and probably even the chatter during the matches Chelsea play against United.

Yup I can definitely agree that the goal Nelson scored was absolutely fantastic. It caught ManU off-guard too. But, it also helped to kick United into high gear after that and United definitely deserved the win.

Thanks for the excellent coverage while you were in England. I certainly enjoyed the interviews and the sights and sounds at the various matches.

Yeah the atmosphere must have been amazing and even more so since the Gunners came from behind to win.

Sigh... Well they have already switched both FSC and SportsMax to the TV Guide channel. So until I get in that monthly fee, looks like I'll definitely have to tune in every saturday and sunday to EPL Talk to watch some of the games. ;)

As much as I would like to think United have an easy group, we have to keep in mind that Benfica knocked us out last year(I think) and also FC Copenhagen did surprise Ajax recently. Celtic of course you can never rule them out of providing a challenge.


I am still pondering how it is that Chelsea and Barcelona always end up facing each other. How can chelsea not be seeded?

Hmm...I still prefer the kits from previous years, but I guess since it's 50 years since the Busby Babes's first league championship then I can understand.

Not sure if Bayern and Real are going to get Ruud but we'll just have to wait and see.

I don't think it was the kick that got Rooney sent off. That was an accident in my opinion. But the push on Ronaldo was unnecessary and I believe that was the reason for the sending off.


In all fairness I think England played well under the circumstances of being a man down. And in the end Portugal made the most of their penalties. It's an unfortunate loss after fighting so hard but that's how the game goes. But that's just my opinion.



As for Brazil, France clearly played the better game. Good goal by Henry and excellent game for Zidane and france on a whole.

I think both will be going for the win regardless of the outcome of the Germany vs Ecuador match.

Don't forget they also signed Kalou and it seems they are still looking into getting John Obi Mikel.


I still think it's going to be a close race to the title for all 4 teams, despite Chelsea's big signings.

I highly doubt that's the new kit for Man United. I must say though just like you I am always anxious to see the new club kits.

It seemed to me like England had the zip early in the match but everything went down hill after the injury to the goalkeeper and the goal. (well from the little I saw of the match and highlights).


Personally I think Gerrard should be the captain. Beckham hasn't impressed me that much as a captain. I still think he should start though. If he can supply some good crosses hopefully Crouch can get on the end of them. If all else fails then definitely bring on Lennon to spice it up. He's got good pace. Just my thoughts from the little I've seen of Lennon though.



By the way I'm looking forward to the next issue of EPL Talk magazine. It's been a while. hehe.

I really hate when things like this happen. I'd really like to hear what Ruud has to say about the matter though. I hope he doesn't go.
