I'm running a post tomorrow about the Time Warner issue. I don't have all the time in the world, but I'll do what I can. This issue is important and I'm right upset. So are all of my co-workers as well. Thanks for getting us all organized, like I said I'll do what I can, time permitting.

in I am not grieving on Mister D Says...
This is a good reply to Dave's original post, its just that I fundamentally disagree with you on many of the points. That's not a bad thing, its just that I don't think you're giving Obama his fair chance.
Bush had 8 years to prove how bad of a decision maker he was. He deserves the scathing critiques, low performance ratings and general attitude that history will bestow on him.

Obama isn't even out of the gate and already you are deriding him. Honestly, where do you get the right to do that? Sure you *believe* that some of his proposals will be bad for the country, but you don't *know* that will be the case. Give him at least a year to screw things up before you go and wish ill-will on his policies and the country he's trying to help.
I don't think that's too much to ask for.
And for the record, I can't remember anyone with as much visibility as Rush Limbaugh ever coming right out and saying "I hope Bush fails". Please point me at such a quote if you can. Thanks.

in Twitter: One to How Many? on Chelpixie.com
Whenever someone starts following you, there is a temptation to follow them back. This leads to friend bloat and tweet overload. I try to stay at around 100 or so followers. That number is manageable for the most part.
Whenever someone starts following me, I check their twitter page via the notification. If they have a website, I also check that out. If they have similar interests, or have similar sensibilities then I add them as a friend to follow. Otherwise, I just leave them be.
Of the 100 people I follow, only about 30-40 tweet daily or semi daily, so I don't get overloaded with information. This really is the way to go. Anyone like iJustine that is following 3000+ people is just doing it as a popularity contest. You might as well follow the public feed. There's just no point.

Nice video, but don't forget a sound check for yourself. The entire interview was one sided because I couldn't understand a single word you were saying. Just a note for next time.

in Ryan’s wrapup of tough day at Engadget on Scobleizer
Sorry Robert, you're way off base here. The onerous is on Engadget to get it right despite their own self-imposed pressure. They are at the top of the heap in gadget blogs, so that pressure is of their own making. I wouldn't feel so strongly about it except the so-called "explanation" did nothing to demonstrate that they learned what went wrong. "We messed up, oh well!" just doesn't cut it.
Thanks for commenting.
Where in my post do I "deride" President Obama? I criticize his positions, explain why I disagree and call for reaction. Where is the derision?
And, if I believe that his ideas are wrong and bad for my country, why would I wait a year to let people know? "Give him at least a year to screw things up"? Are you serious?
As far as public figures wishing President Bush ill? I don't have the stomach to read through the transcripts, but I suspect you could find what you're looking for on Bill Maher's website. In any case, I am not sure what the point would be. As Dave said, Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer, not a commentator. I don't take him seriously... why would you?
